Title: Fighting for the prize
Post by: stefferweffer on August 05, 2010, 04:09:34 PM
5/0 Gold Hero Enhancement

Your male hero may destroy OR take an evil fortress.  If you do so, you may take an opponent's female hero.  Cannot be negated if played on Othniel.

"And Caleb said, 'The one who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will even give him my daughter Achsah for a wife.'  And Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, captured it; so he gave him his daughter Achsah for a wife."  Judges 1:12-13

Reword it like so...

Fighting for the Prize
5/0 Gold Hero Enhancement
Discard an evil Fortress to band to opponent's female Hero. Cannot be negated if played on Othniel.

I think it should have a cost...

What is the "cost" in this scenario?  I'm not sure banding accurately represents being given wife as a reward.  I'll have to think about that.

Very nice card idea. If i made any changes, I'd make it like this...

Fighting for the Prize
5/0 Gold/Red Hero Enhancement
Discard a weapon to discard an evil Fortress. If used by a male judge you may take control of an opponent's female Hero and band her into battle.

Goes with the current Red/Gold pairings thus far, with the similar fortress hate to cards like Samson's Sacrifice. It also functions similarly to Stalks of Flax. Also gives it a cost, so it's not necessarily an outright fortress killer. :)

I'd probably have it say something like this:

Bid on ebay.

and then have the card art be a video of an ebay commercial.

Fighting for the Prize 5/0 GE Gold/Red
You may discard an evil fortress or curse in play to band to all female heroes in play. Cannot be negated if used by a hero with a judges reference.
