Title: Dual Brigade Moses
Post by: Arrthoa on May 22, 2013, 11:39:36 PM
Moses
8/8 Gold/Green
Prophet, Judge, Musician
Negate other Characters. Search deck for an Exodus enhancement. Topdeck that enhancement.

Let the horror begin now ;D

The only problem that I can see is that after searching deck for the enhancement and topdecking it, the deck still needs to be shuffled, which would render the point moot.  Unless you intended for the shuffle to take place before the topdecking.  In which case, that will probably need to be clarified.  Also, something that I'm a little unclear with but I think I've heard before is that phrases that begin with "may" and include "and" mean that the "may" is implied to go after the "and", so I feel like this would be an implied "May search deck for an Exodus enhancement and may topdeck it".  To prevent this, I would suggest doing "May search deck for an Exodus enhancement.  Shuffle deck.  Topdeck the enhancement."  Or something like that.  Just my thoughts.

i agree with asrgimli, except you dont need the shuffle deck part in there because it is a game rule you have to shuffle, just make it "Search deck for Exodus enhancement.  Topdeck that enhancement."

otherwise i think its a good card, probably a little op, but not really considering the Exodus enhancements out right not, ad the old version of Mose would still be playable too

Yeah, I had just added the "Shuffle deck" in there for clarity.  I haven't really played with musicians, but i was more concerned with the possibilities of the pre-block green, gold, or music cards.  Seems like he has a lot of pre-block potential.

This would be better if they improved upon the plagues of Egypt cards. That was why he searches for an exodus enhancement

Thanks for the pic Lambo

I might revisit my exodus plagues cards to go along with this then.  :)

the only thing is his me ability makes Moses' rod mostly useless, since he doesn't negate enhancements and negates characters so no FBTN work.  only characters like baalm and FBTN enhancements would make the current Moses' rod work, making it no good...

"Negate other characters" would be way simpler.

Doesn't playing a category that isn't Sealed Deck make Moses' Rod mostly useless?   ;)

by useless i mean it doesnt fulfill its intended purpose, that being letting moses use the plagues, not that it is actually a good card when its not useless

Moses's Rod is only mostly useless. But in an Exodus Deck it can be decent.

Moses can use Plague of Flies CBP to decrease all evil characters by 6/6, which can be a huge swing in a by the numbers battle. If he is banded with Aaron he can also use Plague of Frogs (the other good plague) just in case your opponent manages to out number the combo.

It also has some use with Benaniah (8/8 Green, negate all except weapons and warrior class) to make Plague of Frogs CBP (although you are probably better off with a modern prophet deck at this point)

My Exodus has yet to prove whether or not it is a good use of the card slot, since I don't think it was relevant in the games I played. Also I have not been able to find my Plague of Flies for some reason.
