Title: Cool dominant Concepts
Post by: Gohanick on February 19, 2009, 06:33:15 PM
Corrupted Spirit
Evil Dominant

This card's ability remains active while in hand.
Place This card in an Opponent's hand. Opponent cannot play this card.
Whenever this card leaves that player's hand due to that player, they must remove this card from the game and discard their entire hand.

Wickedness
Evil Dominant
This card's ability remains active while in discard piles.
Place this card in your discard Pile.
When your orange brigade demon wins a battle, you may remove this card from the game to return all evil cards except dominants above this card to your hand.

Good Dominant
Place This card on a lost soul
Negate that lost soul's ability. That lost soul cannot be discarded by a player with less than 8 cards in hand.

I Am Eternal
During your preperation phase, whenever you activate a covenant, you may activate another artifact after it's ability completes.

Sloth
Evil Dominant
Place this card in territory. All players may not play more than 3 non-dominant cards on their turn.
(so many ways to discard, slows down the speed aspect of the game.. i think this is something needed)

Uhm, No. As much as I want evil cards back, I don't wanna have a card to recur CM etc. Maybe all orange brigade cards?

Add Except this card, and even then its still Op'd imo. I could do I am creator, I am holy, I am redemption, I am patience, ark.
Kill 2 ecs, 1 evil card, get a hero from deck, and get back my captured guys.

Make Wickedness "Except Dominates"

Good Dominant
Place This card on a lost soul
Negate that lost soul's ability. That lost soul cannot be discarded by a player with less than 8 cards in hand.

Too many ways around this one. The shuffler LS would work every time because a LS with this dominant would be shuffled and not discarded.  The only thing  this stops is burial and maybe the demon discard but I dont see that one played with often and we already have an "anti-Burial" LS.

I want to see doubt errataed to let it be played in battle.

No you don't. When that is done it becomes a CTB card.

CTB = Choose the Blocker.

They tried to play Doubt the way you wanted in the teams event at the last Nats, and RR forced the judges to make an emergency overriding errata on the spot, because he broke the game.

Bad Red'Rocks.  No cookie.

Good times!  Yes basically they would attack with a hero and then play Doubt into battle on their opponent's side, thus preventing their opponent from choosing their own EC to block.

The Errata was simply that you were only allowed to play Doubt into battle when you were blocking.  If Crustpope's suggestion of playing Doubt into battle ever happens, then it will be important to include something along those lines in the wording :)

How is that breaking the game any worse than provisions or King amazing?  It can only be done once plus a card like lurking could band your own peeps in and they are only going to get to play 1 card before initiative passes to you (of course you would be an idiot to not play a CBN battle winner with that one card.)

I will admit though. 99% of the time this is an automatic win, but If Doubt is going to be played anymore, I think it needs to be errataed to get more of an advantage.  As it is, unless you play orange, doubt is going the way of the Dodo (another example of Glory of the Lord).

I think the big problem is NJ.  We either need to up the LS count that needs to be rescued to 7 or we need to scrap NJ.  I like SoG but I think NJ makes the game to easy. (along with AotL that is three easy LS).

OT: Doubt should be errated similar to Unknown Nation, where it can be added to battle if an EC is already in battle.  That would be interesting...

However, that would be changing the ability, not an errata
