Folks,
Let's list some cards here that need to be re-printed or updating or whatever.
Example: King Manasseh (currently a brown/pale green character)
I purpose he become a spilt card like Saul/Paul or like a good King Saul and a bad King Saul. Seperate good card would be easier.
King Manasseh 7/7 purple hero
Special ability: Remove one magician from the game. May only be used once. May band with a green prophet or teal priest.
Scripture verses- 2 Chronicles 33:12-13
Your thoughts? Any other ideas?

Manny doesn't need a reprint, IMO.

I don't know how much we actually covered, but I believe in this topic (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/new-card-ideas/neutral-characters/), the subject of good/evil heroes came up, and I mentioned Manny specifically. The main problem is that if you're going to do something like for a relatively minor character like Mannaseh (who was evil the vast majority of his reign and only repented at the very end), you'd be forced to do it for everyone who ever "switched sides" for an extended period of time. For instance, I'd like to see a reprint of King Solomon where if he loses a rescue or is discarded, he becomes an evil character for a set period of time. There's also the whole Judas debate. ::)

I chose Manny because he is in a way like Paul. Raised right, but messed up bad. Received a humbling experience. Got back right with God. He is,in a way,a tale of Redemption. Think about all the bad he did. But read about the good he did in the end. Thoughts?

Paul was the most famous convert in the Bible, and arguably did more "good" than Manny.

NO Manasseh reprint. He was just printed in TeXP. No more flip characters. That was a long time ago.
-
I'm not necessarily a fan of characters flipping like Paul, but I've always been for the idea of certain characters converting on condition, maybe with a key word or identifier to keep the cards from becoming too wordy.

Definitely. I think most of the time characters should be printed the way the made a mark on life. Solomon built the temple, given wisdom by God = Hero. Manasseh burned up his kids and caused thousands to fall = Evil.
-
I'd rather see characters like Manasseh who didn't convert until towards the end of their stories should be made Lost Souls (ala Cupbearer) before I'd see them become heroes, and even then, I still don't think either idea is particular good, unless handled well and sparingly.

Disciples.

Let's concentrate on true needs.
Peter Green/Purple
John Green/Purple
Deborah Green/Gold/White
David Red/Green/White/Purple
All the Philistine Giants Black
Manasseh Blue(The Genisis one)
Esau ???
To name a few.
-
A card that I would love to see reprinted is David's Tent along with the red weapons and warriors.
-
The most glaringly bad big names are (imo):
Peter
Noah
Abraham
Jonah
Mark
Luke
Elijah
Elisha
David (with proper brigades/identifiers or split into 4 cards)
Samson
Delilah
King Saul
-
Maybe Isaac too.
-
I agree, I'd also like to see John reprinted to be more helpful towards 'other decks' (Aka Revelation Set-up. Make him like Isaiah is now)
-
Can't forget Andrew now or Cornelius can we?
-
While Cornelius is a pretty important figure in the maturing of the Church under the New Covenant, he's not really all that big a name outside those who pay attention to Christian theology. Not saying he shouldn't get a reprint, just saying it's not as urgent as quite a few others.
-
Why? Is there a new set coming out this year or hopefully,a new starter deck?
I'd like to see some more women come out, like OT women.
-
It'll be a new starter deck. We don't know the themes/brigades yet.
-
I will miss using Broses in sealed. It's almost cheating.
-
It'll be a new starter deck.
That's what everyone was saying last year. But I think it's about time for another one.
-
Yes, but this time I heard it from Elders.
