CoW added some very powerful LS and Fortresses, so we don't need any more of those right now.

Artifacts/Curses/Covenants are always fun, and are always found in every deck, but there are so many powerful ones in existence, plus you normally only have one active at a time.

Sites are not that much fun IMO, except when they have Fortress-like abilities or make site access easier.

Characters are better than enhancements.

And I'd rather create a good card than an evil one. My vote: Hero

The question is, do we decide on a particular character/event/item (depending on card type) and try to make an ability that fits its theme, or do we come up with an interesting ability and look for a biblical correlation?

If the first, I'm specifying my hero vote to Elijah or Elisha. Both important dudes with criminally outdated cards.

I'd say elisha. there are many cards that mention him, a 7/5 purple no special ability prophet. but elijah would be a good idea too. Personally, i would want a adam or seth.

Go for Elijah. Include something in his ability that, if harmed by an opponent, allows you to search deck/discard for Elisha. That way, the PTB will be incentivized to create a new Elisha as well.

Thanks for giving us this opportunity, Gabe! I agree with reprinting Elisha, Adam, or even Deborah. Alternatively, some not-yet-printed characters like Micaiah (read 1 Kings 22), The Giant (Goliath & bros' dad - 2 Samuel 21:18-22), The Bride (of Solomon and representing the church - from the Song of Solomon), or The Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8) would be great too. I'm excited to see what we come up with!

I would love to see a new Paul/Saul from this. Moses is one of the main OT characters and got turned into a powerhouse deck maker and I would love to see Paul as a NT equivalent.

When you put him in play, set him aside for up to 3 turns. On return, he ignores X evil brigades. X is the number of turns he was set aside.

I'm getting quite excited about this! I would love to see a Deborah, Elisha or Elijah reprint or see Abraham's Servant from Genesis 24 get a print as a hero. That man's faith was incredible! But overall, Deborah, please! Gold/Green Prophet/Judge with some awesome ability and barak/jael synergy. YUSSS please!

With son of god, second coming, and one other daniel hero to band to him, that's basically 4 free souls with moses in play

Seek and Destroy and Arrest in Jerusalem are the only counters, and they won't work if he's in battle. That's power!

No, Elohim is cbn protected from harm. The whole point is to make a card as broken as Joshua/Captain or Moses without being FBTN and using restrict instead of protect. I don't know of any heroes who restrict. Elohim is basically doing the same things Joshua/Captain, Moses, Thaddeus, and TGT have done in the passed where you basically can't do anything in most circumstances lol. The whole point is to have basically a guaranteed rescue for a Daniel theme.

I agree though, considering there was only 1 NT deck in top cut this year

it should probably be a useful NT hero who has almost near guaranteed rescuing potential on the level of Moses/Joshua/Captain xD

I mean really, even before Cloud Moses.. FBTN heroes have dominated since warriors.. What does NT have that is as easily splash able and versatile as the FBTN heroes, not to mention often walking rescues?

That being said I would love to see a Paul reprint that is playable with any NT offense.. I have almost never had or seen many people have success with the current Saul/Paul

Oh man, there are SOOOOOO many little kids at my play group with Saul Paul decks. It's a little daunting when you are playing a multiplayer game and everyone else is using those decks lol.

These concepts look great! Nice job, guys.

I voted for a Hero, and I would love to see an updated Deborah; but given Micaiah is my favorite prophet, I would prefer to see him as a new character. I also like Kevinthedude's idea about a NT equivalent to Moses with Paul being updated.

I was also thinking of a DAE, which I didn't see any option for in the survey. The DAE would be "Birthright Sold" (blue/crimson brigade, 0/0), based off of Esau selling his birthright to Jacob (Gen. 25:29-34). SA would be something to the tune of (this is my first attempt at creating a card, so bear with me):

"If used by a Hero, holder may discard all good cards in hand to negate and underdeck all Evil Characters in battle. If used by an Evil Character, withdraw all Evil Characters in battle to protect all Lost Souls from rescue to skip holder's next turn. No new blocker may be added to battle, and no evil card may be played the rest of turn. Cannot be Negated if Jacob or Esau is in battle."

Wordy, I know. The idea behind this incident being a DAE is that the event set up Jacob to receive the firstborn title but at the expense of exploiting his brother's moment of weakness and supplanting him, hence the reason for the discarding all good cards (in essence, Jacob "discarding" his integrity). On the flip side, Esau wasn't thinking past the grumblings of his stomach which led him to foolishly sell his birthright. As the Scriptures say, he sold his birthright for a morsel of food. The "morsel of food," in this case, would be that the player's Lost Souls would be protected from rescue, but his ECs would be withdrawn (maybe underdecked instead?) and he would "sell his birthright" by skipping his next turn (this would obviously be a desperation block if the player is giving up his next turn). The part about no new blocker may be presented or evil card played the rest of turn would be insurance for the rescuing Hero not to have to fight another battle, and from CM stopping the rescue or Falling Away getting back the LS (this goes in line with Esau submitting to his hunger and to Jacob).

Just my two cents.
