Noah's Ark

Good Fortress

At the point that there are exactly 8 OT heroes in play, discard all OTHER cards in all territories (except lost souls), regardless of protection.  Shuffle lost souls into decks instead.  Discard Noah's Ark after use.  No rescue attempt or battle challenge may be made this turn.  One per deck.

"and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;"  2 Peter 2:5

(Since we now have a Fishing Boat fortress this seemed a logical follow up.)

OP. I like the gist of the idea, but it needs tweaking.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Well, the first option to reduce the OP would be to "discard" rather than remove from game I guess.  I think this card would introduce an interesting facet to the game, as you get closer to that magic number of 8 :)  Revised.

I still say too much benefit with too little cost, especially in T2. Wrecking the entire board just by having 8 Heroes is OP. And in Multi, this bomb could go off in round 2 easily.

OK, I limited it as far as I could and still make it desirable for some decks.  In its current form the heroes are not set aside at all (so opponents can use their heroes on their next turn), AND the owner cannot rescue on the same turn they use this.

I just don't think I'll ever be comfortable with this card discarding ALL cards regardless of Protection. Especially since in T2, putting this card into play will wreck the game, especially in Multi.

I guess I can see your point, but currently we have 5 New Beginnings per deck shuffling everything in play, so I don't see the big difference.  I'm just not sure that we could justify "protection" against the Flood that destroyed the world.  "My guys don't need to be in the ark for protection.  They're in Pharaoh's throne room."  But I do appreciate your honest input.  It's just a shame that our current card about the Flood doesn't have the massive effect that a card like that should :(

If it shuffled instead of Discarded I'd be ok with it. And to be fair about your point about Biblical accuracy, the Flood didn't Discard anything from a verse later that Genesis 9? 10? and the Ark didn't hold any people other than Noah and his family ;) Have to sacrifice some realism for game play.

If it shuffled instead of discarding it would be a newtered ANB :)

Not so, imo, but even if it were, there's nothing more powerful than shuffle but less powerful than Discard. Maybe set aside for 4 turns?
