Title: A shot in the arm for Red Warriors
Post by: Josh on March 22, 2011, 08:05:31 AM
Plunders of War - Artifact
X = number of your OT Red Warrior Class heroes in territory
"You may discard this card to draw X, or search a discard pile for up to two weapons, or return your captured OT human heroes to territory."

David's Staff - Artifact
"If all your heroes are Red Warrior Class, you may deactivate an artifact in each opponent's territory.  May be used twice."

Israelite Outpost - Good Fortress
"Protect your OT Red Warrior Class heroes in territory and set-aside from opponent's cards.  If an opponent's evil character is in battle, you may discard this card to add your OT Red Warrior Class hero to battle."

I like all of them  :)

You inspired me for  more Red Ideas.

Joab
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 8 / 8 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability:
May band to a Warrior Class hero to protect all hero's in battles from Special Abilities on Evil Royalty. After Battle you may convert to a brown evil character to discard an evil character. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Fought Earthly Battle •

Naharai
Brigade: Red 5/5 WC
Band to a Warrior Class Hero. Search deck or discard pile for a weapon class enhancement. At any time during Battle you may discard this card to return all Hero's in battle to Territory.

Zalmon
Brigade: Red 6/6 WC
May band to a red warrior Class Hero. Negate special abilities on Evil Weapons and Sites. Cannot be negated.

Hushai
Brigade: Red 4/4
May band to a Red warrior class hero or King David. If David is in play all heros in battle are immune to Warrior Class Evil Characters. Cannot be Negated

Adino's Spear
Red 3/2 Weapon Class
Discard this card to discard a Warrior class Evil character.

United Army
Red 0/0
Band all Warrior Class heros into battle to Negate and Discard a site or Evil Fortress.

Hushai's Friendship
Red 0/0
Band David into battle to Negate all Special Abilities on Evil Cards. Cannot Be Negated.

Valor of Warrior's
Red 0/0 Negate Protect abilites on Cards. Discard X evil Characters in opponents Territory.

Some of these are OP but I like the concept alot of these

I think Isralite Outpost should be changed to say "If a red brigade warrior class hero is in battle you may discard a good card from hand or deck to band a red brigade warrior class hero into battle. May be used once per turn."

Why not or?  IO or good card from hand/deck.

I think Isralite Outpost should be changed to say discard a good card from hand or deck to add a red brigade warrior class hero to battle.
I think this would be OP, especially in T2.  If you get IO early enough and they don't have Nazzy, you can completely drain your opponent's D.

"I attach with David (awesome 2011 version)."
"Ok, I block with King Zed and play Dungeon of Malchiah.  You lose."
"All right, I'll just discard a red card from deck via IO and, whoa, guess I'll just add Abishai/Heldai/Amasai to battle."
"Ha ha, Haman's Plot!"
"No problem.  Guess I'll discard another red card from deck, and let's try Spy."
"Writ?"
"Cool.  Asahel's next."
"Dang, I've got no more defense..."

The ability to extend a rescue attempt on the OFFENSIVE side of battle should be very limited to prevent abuses such as this, IMHO.  Hence, IO should discard itself.

But they're losing their offense as well, at least temporarily. This exact same thing would happen, just over the course of several turns.

In a T2 deck, where you probably won't use all your offensive cards, someone would probably be more than willing to burn some offensive cards from deck to get some successful rescues.  SoG + NJ means you only need 5, and if you can burn through your opponent's D in one turn early, their D will be set back for quite a while.  The ability to use IO turn after turn means that as long as you have a bunch of heroes (which, by the way, are protected in territory by IO) to attack with, you can continue to make rescues, even if they get stopped (as long as an EC is in battle).

This card would be abused in T2 if it didn't discard itself or have a cost heavier than one good card from hand or deck.

Why not just put that effect to once per turn?

How so he only has access to Hidden treasures, musicians chambers, and throne of david, it really isn't that OP'D.

King David is just too epic to be made into a card that is both accurate and balanced.

Unless Bathsheba is in play.

Bathsheba

Dominant
Search all decks and set aside King David until Son of God is played, on return shuffle him into draw pile.

Totally.  You think I'd know something about the new set?  Here's the entirety of what I know: it will contain cards.  Maybe.

I highly doubt it will contain cards, I think it will contain a bunch of OP'Dness.

I heard from someone they will make silver brigade cards really powerful and then errata them to make them lame.
