This isn't really meant to be a serious type variation, but I think it would be very fun from a deckbuilding standpoint. What if we took the "rule of sevens" and made it a rule? Every deck would need to have exactly:
7 LS's
7 Heroes
7 Evil Characters
7 Good Enhancements
7 Evil Enhancements
7 Artifacts, Covenants, Curses, Fortresses, and Sites
7 Dominants
1 Hopper (an oddball card that won't fit anywhere else and brings the total up to an even 50)
It would be interesting to see the choices that go into deck building. Do you go with a strat that uses a lot of Fortresses so you don't have "wasted" Site slots? Do you forgo the use of Fortresses and try sitelock? Do you use a brigade with a lot of DAE's so you can gorge offense or defense at the expense of the other? Do you run Isaiah or Ezekiel to maximize utility? What do you think?

The big thing you'll see from this game type is a lot of people using Israelite Kings to maximize the sites. What I would probably do is add fortresses and sites to the artifacts tab, putting the deck size to 49. I think you'll see a lot more strategy in choices, and thus, more variety. Beyond that, I actually love the idea.

This sounds likea very good idea. I will have to try this :o

This could stop speed. It would just make isearealite kings the best...

Interesting idea. I like it. However, Israelite Kings would be really good along with small(er) offenses like Isaiah.

Why not just take it a step further and say 14 offensive cards and 14 defensive cards? That way players can try strats that work best when they don't stick to the 7/7 ratio (FBTNB, demons, Disciples, etc).
I suppose that ruins the "purity" of a game variant called "Type Seven" though :(
Oh, and I love this idea. + 1

I imagine the main reason would be because that still allows people to make more character-based offenses and defenses. Forcing balance between characters and enhancements isn't a bad thing. Additionally, that makes it more like T2.

I would prefer it to be the "Deck of 8's" to make a nice 56-card deck.
8 LS's (including Hopper)
8 Heroes
8 Evil Characters
8 Good Enhancements
8 Evil Enhancements
8 Artifacts, Covenants, Curses, Fortresses, and Sites
8 Dominants

All right, I've made a Type Seven deck. I've also created a Hamachi network for it.
Name - Type 7
Password - seven
I would like to play a few games, just to see how it goes. If I'm on Hamachi, shoot me a PM.

Well, its a good idea. If you wanted to use it in a tournament. You could!!!

I think type 7 would be better for a tournament category myself.
