Title: Type 3, cont.
Post by: TheJaylor on June 30, 2012, 03:08:04 PM
So, I read the topic about Type 3 and it got me interested so I was wondering if their ever was going to be an online T3 tourney on RTS? Also, I was wondering how many Lost Souls you would need to have. I'm assuming 8 since it's 60 cards but I just wanted to double-check.

It's still being playtested in our group, but I know some were willing to try it online.  Hard at the moment with everything going on, but we should have a tourney, yeah.

Also, it is indeed 8 souls.

It's possible that ROOT may try it for a month in the fall, but we'll just have to see.

I would enjoy a type 3 ROOT.

It has my vote,

@ Redoubter: has our playgroup had any discussion with cactus about running the category after Nats? If not I would like to have us try and play it officially once or twice next year. Maybe start with a petition signed by our group. We could then have each player offer a short wright up on the event and email them to Rob or someone in Cactus, or even a locked thread in game play variations.

Not even sure how to go about making this idea an official category, we need to test this more but I wold love for it to become official.

I just want to ask Rob (with several others in our area) if he would let us try it "officially." Maybe we could schedule the event when an elder could come down and judge it. Then he can have an input on how the catagory plays and how enjoyable it is.

Korunks: I think the best way to try is to simply ask, and to start small. I say our area try's to push an official tournament a few times next season. Then we can take it from there!

I am willing to foot the bill for some prizes in an unofficial category would love to have a group larger than my playgroup test this in a tournament setting.  All initial feedback on Type 3 has been very good.  Would like a larger sample set.  Maybe I will tack an unofficial category on the end of a local or district to see how it does.  Thoughts?  How many would travel to try it?

Sometime, a starter deck should be made with this setup.

Willing to pitch some prizes in as well (heaven knows I have plenty of packs and E/F starters).  We could host some Local/District tournaments after Nats perhaps and run it unofficially.

I'd be interested in trying this out, the topic looked interesting and my deck is already very close to the building reqs.
