Title: T2 Sealed
Post by: The Guardian on February 28, 2011, 08:04:28 PM
T2 Sealed was a pretty good success this past weekend at the T2 only though we did learn a couple things.

First of all, being that you are only allowed 1 single-color Site in regular Sealed, we probably should have realized that there should only be 2 single-color Sites in T2 Sealed. I'm sure Gabe would agree  ;)

Secondly, it does cost quite a bit. Bill is an extremely generous guy, but it would be difficult for any host to give that kind of deal on a regular basis. For that reason T2 Sealed probably won't become an official category.

Third, it was fun to see how some cards that you never (or rarely) see in regular decks become beasts in T2 sealed. The best example of this that I saw was the Abram/Abraham that Alex picked up. After making a successful rescue in one game, Alex now had Abraham and not only that, but had gotten at least 2 copies of Covenant with Abraham. Needless to say, Abraham went into Beast mode picking up LS left and right.

I made Abraham 3 times, with support of a 3 Cov of Abraham's and an Abraham's descendants

That was my fault. Wild Bill argued for that rule, and I overruled him.

I figured at worst someone would get four sites, and I was positive that anyone playing T2 would never be silly enough to trade them to his opponent.  It appears that I was wrong on both counts. :(

Abraham would have been 4, had I not had Golden Calf up.  :-*

T2 Sealed was super super fun. I definitely liked it better than T2 Booster. My deck and tournament report can be found here (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=25712.msg404610#new)

You really did need the huge amounts of packs. It was difficult to make use of a lot of cards.

How did T2 sealed work? I'm interested in trying it.
