Pretty self explanatory. Any lost souls drawn goes into one shared Land of Bondage. It's really quite pointless with a lot of cards like Hopper (it'd basically be a lost soul that doesn't count towards deck requirements) and Revealer, and I'm not particularly sure how it'd work with Sites. I do think it'd bring an interesting twist. Perhaps say that normally drawn souls are shared, but generated souls go into a specific LoB?

So then you are rescuing your lost souls as well as you opponent's? Odd. That would do strange things to the SoG errata (must rescue an opponents soul).

Take away the errata. Cards are always better if played out how they read.

Like lampy (stupid errata)

What errata?

wait, I think it was a ruling. That it doesn't protect from mayhem. my bad.

That wasn't a errata, that was a game rule that you cannot rescue your own Lost Souls no matter what.

The ruling was not specific to Lampstand, but all cards that reference "not in battle". "Not in battle" does not include hand, deck, or discard, which means that Lampstand no longer protects those locations. If you want to know why the ruling was made, just look at Angry Mob, but if you're wondering why the specific cards weren't fixed instead, well that's a discussion for another day.

Agree there, even if I don't like the ruling.

This thread is turning into a fat posh man who's been out in the sun.
It's one big tangent.

...I'm not sure if I should respond to that...
but I like this idea, it makes the ruling worth nothing and takes out annoyances of LS drought.
-
So everyone would play speed since there will always be LSs? Not a fan.

I realized that small problem after I posted it. I had originally thought pooling it would stop soul drought from being a problem, and also increase defense because it's essentially a counter strike. Only one lost soul on the table to begin with? No problem. In the end, probably not going to work well.

Did this all the time when I first stared playing. Its fun almost always have a soul
-
Ah, the mistakes noobies make... I used to think that I could go to battle like you did in Yugioh, Each hero can go to battle once, which made me think that Servant Girl was awesome!
-
So everyone would play speed
How exactly would that change things? ;)
-
First, all the best speed decks include plenty of soul generation, so soul drought isn't as much of an issue as you might think. Plus, anyone who's played multi knows that playing speed doesn't guarantee souls will be available. ::)
I really like this idea, however, it needs some tweaking, specifically with the way sites would interact with it. I think the idea might be more fun in multi than in regular 2P, and that's an area I'd like to see it explored in.

Yeah we did. Good times.
Though it wasn't a mistake, it was actually an optional rule from the original players guidebook.

That's interesting, I didn't know that...

Do you mean the first edition rulebook?
