Anyone read it? Its deep plot with themes that show the depravity of a life without God have quickly made it one of my favorite books.

By far one of my favorite books! Though probably not for the same reason many other people like the book ;D
Whats funny is I don't really consider it that good of a book... The plot is bland, characters are cliched and the symbolism is heavy handed. But I LOVE Gatsby's character and what he represents! Extremely relatable character!!
What is Gatsby's goal in the book? To find happiness!!!!! Its a simple goal and it brings about his destruction... but he has hope!!! We all need some hope don't we? :)

The newest movie is mehhhh it was cast well and follows the plot of the book well enough... but the soundtrack ruined the movie for me. For me it distracted from getting immersed in what was going on :-\
