As you are likely aware, Sherlock star Martin Freeman is currently playing Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit movies, and Benedict Cumberbatch will be voicing Smaug. This has resulted a postponement of the aforementioned TV show.

Which would you have preferred first; The Hobbit or Sherlock season 3?

I think that (had I seen Sherlock before last week) I would have preferred the Hobbit, but having seen the movie I now want Sherlock more than the next two movies.

Sherlock was okay. I enjoyed it; but The Hobbit was very good. So I'm not really sure but probably The Hobbit. Oh and David Tennant, (referring to your picture), is awesome

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure that Into Darkness is the reason for the Sherlock delays, not the Hobbit. Regardless, I think I'd pick the Hobbit first. I love both, and Sherlock is probably better than the first Hobbit movie, but we have two more movies incoming, both of which will likely be better, in the next year and a half. I'd rather have that kickstarted.

Yeah, principal photography was shot a long time ago for Hobbit
