I actually may have enjoyed this movie more than the first. ... Okay, probably not, but it was close. At very least, the humor was more abundant, and I consider that a very good thing, especially in an Iron Man movie.

One thing this movie lacked that I appreciated in the first was a good villain. Aldrich Killian just seemed like another one of those evil-for-the-sake-of-evil villains. And I would have appreciated more of an explanation for how his fire ability worked.

Gentlemen, may I remind you that you are discussing a movie that came out this weekend, and anyone who reads recent posts will see yours even if they have not seen it yet. We have spoiler tags for a reason...please use them...

I don't mean to be crazy here but if you don't want to see spoils why did you come into the thread?

I don't think he means for himself, because I know for a fact that he and Gretel went the other day, but for other people.

Alex, I look at posts using recent posts, I do not look at each board individually. And I also know that others do the same who pass by things they may have not otherwise read. It's not that difficult to put in spoiler tags, it's been done before. And yes, I have seen the movie, so this was not for myself bur rather for the benefit of others...If I had not seen the movie on Friday I would have been very upset...

Excellent movie. Lots of twists, turns and surprises. The preview I saw really didn't give anything away, unlike some other movies where the preview is all the best stuff from the movie.

A spoiler that people will appreciate if they haven't seen it. Say for the credits. You won't regret it.

Is the end credits scene as good as the shawarma scene from Avengers?

I do this too.  I don't get upset about spoilers to movies I haven't seen since I almost always check movies out thoroughly before watching them in the theaters anyway.  But I agree with Techno's suggestion to put stuff in spoiler tags for the sake of others.

That's exactly the problem: Good super hero films don't require the viewer to have prior knowledge to understand it - it simply rewards the viewer for it. I can watch the Avengers without having read any of the comics, and understand and appreciate the plot, while my friend who has read the comics gets the occasional bonus because of references that are slipped in. I can watch the Dark Knight Rises without getting lost, and appreciate that the way Bane breaks Wayne's back is consistent with one of the most famous comic panels of all time (from Knightfall), which might get lost on some people (not to mention how darned artistic it is). It doesn't help that even if the powers were explained better, I still think they're stupid.
