Title: Zeb + BotC: Match made in Heaven?
Post by: Josh on February 15, 2019, 08:13:58 AM
Joseph (CoW)
Zebulun

Tabernacle/Solomon's Temple
Ark of Salvation (maybe?)

Glory of the Lord

BotC
Cov w/ Prayer

Reserve:
Covenant w/ Adam (PoC)
Eternal Covenant
Josiah's Covenant (look it up!  CBN protection for Joe/Zeb in territory)
Watchful Servant

Also in deck/Reserve will be approximately 3 zillion evil cards.  Thoughts?

Fear Rubble and Dust.  8)

Seems really strong though! I imagine you’re playing “Humble” and testing [edited by R.O.S.E.S.]?

Yeah, nothing I can do about Rubble and Dust   :P   Hoping players continue to not use it in T1 decks.

Humble would probably be slotted in for my defense.  Don't forget Joe makes Zeb CBN   :D

I am absolutely going to be testing this with [edited by R.O.S.E.S.]   ;)   Now I just need a victim volunteer to play with

EDIT:

Would love to have The Generous Widow in Reserve as well.  But maybe not worth it.  If they are decked and have 4 or fewer cards in hand, I should be able to win, right?

Also, what defense is both stout and less enhancement-driven?  Preferably w/ access to a few battle extension abilities?  Maybe Kings of Judah + Demons, with the natural brown magician splash of Manny/Necro/Medium?  King Amon, Medium, and Red Dragon/Abaddon all have the potential to lock an offense out, gives access to Magic Charms + Gates of Hell...  Charms could also bait out Rubble & Dust if I haven't revealed BotC yet.

I love it! One of my friends has a deck like this, but he plays it so zeb triggers as often as possible. he jus has a ton of characters, and almost all territory class enh. It's so annoying to play against, but it's super strong.

So is it a balanced deck?  Or is it more defense-heavy?

I could expand the offense to try and push Zeb from start to finish.  Add Abraham, The 3 Visitors, Faith of Sarah, I am Creator in deck/Reserve, etc.

IIRC Isaac's friend uses some of the TC Genesis Heroes like Jacob (CoW), Melchizadek (CoW - but PoC might be better now).

I don't think there's anything that can compete with orange for low enhancement + battle extending abilities. The question them becomes what to pair with it. Brown, PG and Crimson are all solid choices. Brown does give another battle extender with 6th Bowl. If you have enough humans and can meet the unity requirement [EDITED BY R.O.S.E.S.] is amazing!

See, I was wondering if an all Brown defense that splashes Prince of Persia, Bear, etc. might be the way to go.  Gives me access to Gates of Hell and [EDITED BY R.O.S.E.S] - that sounds pretty good!

Plus I can use Fallen King and Outsiders to abuse idols like Gideon's Ephod, HHI, and Asherah Pole.

FYI, activating Asherah Pole from Reserve/Art Pile while blocking is a great way to use Asherah Pole when your offense is OT   ;)

Hmm. Seems to be a hint that Asherah Pole will be a LR as well...

The basic combo is even more devastating in THalf!  ;)

Since you already have temple/glory/BotC/cov w adam, might be worth trying holy of holies with trembling demon and wandering spirit and gates.  Also Uzzah, fire foxes, Nebuchadnezzar/Belshazzar + Belshazzar’s banquet can buy you some time.
