I recently made a deck that has very, VERY few slots for defensive cards and I'm looking for evil characters that have a decent chance of being a standalone block. Things I am currently running are cards like fire foxes, uzzah, and the deceiver (with some situational auto block characters like wives in reserve). Besides auto blocks I'm looking for characters like War that generate their own backup (searches for weapons to use).

Ananias (RoJ) shuts down angels pretty fast
Goliath is still amazing
KoT is still amazing.
Job's Wife is also super awesome, for the same reason that KoT is.
the new red dragon can get auto blocks fairly often as well.

don't forget black/gold outsiders, prince of this world, philistine garrison, and emperor Caligula. there are plenty of ones also that only require an enhancement, like king zimri, emperor otho, the entrapping pharasee, and emperor Domitian, all of which could be triggered by an NT evil enhancement that is both grey and crimson (or multicolored)

Strong Egyptian is nice also.
How many slots are we talking?
There are some decent small defenses.

Eh, Strong Egyptian is not as great anyone as a standalone character. Hard-Hearted Pharaoh is better.

Whoops, I meant the Egyptian Rebel
Gold / Crimson 10/7
"May band to a N.T. Human Evil Character (except a Roman or High Priest). Cannot be negated."
I like him.

Yea, he's a good card.
