Okay I am looking to make an orange defense? What would be a good stable combination with this type of defense?
-
I think orange is pretty good as a stand alone. I would just go and see if something would work. I always say, experience is the best teacher you can ever get XD
-
I think Orange is best combined with another brigade, especially Crimson. However, it certainly can work alone. Orange has a nice combination of standalone powerhouses, banders, and initiative characters. Demons probably have more ups than downs as far as targeting, but there are a few cards that just demolish them, so you have to be careful.

There are a couple ways to play orange.
1. The standard solid defense of just orange. This defense is fairly strong but has the downside of being only demons and most of the #/#'s on the characters are pretty high.
2. The Pale Green Magician/Orange defense. This was made possible by TexP and its shiny cards. This is a pretty solid defense and imo better then just solid orange at the moment.
3. Mass Demons with Orange being the foundation of the deck. This deck can cover pretty much any form of mass demon banding deck so this would go under Panic Demon decks and the Sort. This is a ok deck type but wont win you any tourneys unless if you know what your doing.
4. Orange/Pale Green place disease deck. The loads of place cards you can do and junk like that make it fun.
5. Demonic Stronghold deck. Throw in shadow and some other grey dudes with loads of orange guys and it can get very fun against fbtn decks.
6. The "deck manipulation" type is very hard to pull off imo. The goal of this deck is to place cards on the bottom of your deck then through Gates of Hell or some other orange cards bring these cards into battle and give you super cool cards and stuff.... Yeah ive never seen this type of deck pulled off. Not recomendeddededed.
7. There are also a plethora of different Dual Brigade decks that are nothing fancy and are very nice decks.
8. And finally, My personal favorite type of orange deck is the "Gates of Hell" deck. The goal of this deck is to discard your entire deck via Gates of Hell. The potential of this is that you can suprise your opponent by having 12+ EC's in your territory in one turn it also gets out your offense very fast. When paired with Tart. this can be very fun. But AOCP is the demise of this deck and makes me very sad when wandering spirit isnt in battle :p This deck type is very hard to use and is impossible to win with unless if you know how to play it. (Took a while to figure it out :p)
I think ive covered 90% of the deck types that are possible right with orange if any one has anything else to add fire away ;)
If none of this makes sense dont worry because I dont know what I typed.... Ill clean up the post some more later :)

oooo thanks I forgot about the Greeks :)
-
There is only one Greek demon...
However, one of my favorite strats is Winged Lion+Winged Leopard+High Places. You get to play all of Orange, Crimson, and Black's "place" cards, which makes Site Lockout a breeze.

Prince of Greece is sad....
-
He has no friends.
-
Winged Leopard and Prince of Greece makes two demons that are Greek.
-
Prince of Greece can't play Abom, which is the only time being Greek ever matters (except being targeted by Terrifying Beast, Antiochus' first balancing clause, and the banding on Winged Leopard and Prince of Greece). There's really no good reason to ever have more than Antiochus and Winged Leopard for Greeks, maybe one of the astrologer type fellows. 5 cards even target Greeks, only 3 of them positively, and there's no additional benefit (like a Fortress or Artifact).
In short, currently there's really no such thing as a Greek defense.
