Take II!!!!
Ok, discuss Meta Game:
As I had said before, deck archetypes have Meta Game. You can design a deck to obliterate one king of opposing deck, but be killed by the rest at a tourny. Good for revenge (sold separately, not recommended) but bad for winning tournaments. The different archetypes are decks that floated to the top because they had good meta game; I.E. they won most of the time.
So, what's on the horizon meta~wise?
-
thank you metalspalm 8) 8) ;D and now down to it here is the metagame FBTN,
speed, heroless,genesis,and angels i think.
-
There is a lot more than that. You can desribe the metagame like that. It's too abstract.
-
well you have to know the good decks what are they
-
You think I have an inside track? hehe, well..... I'm thinking large decks with multiple copies of battlewinners ect
-
i'm thinking FBTN will win nats
-
Hahaha. FBTN? No way. CBN decks are way to much in vogue for that to occur.
-
fbtn is still viable
-
How on earth is a FBTN based deck viable in today's metagame?
100% of decks have 1-2 CBN battlewinners on both sides of the deck, at least.
I would guess that about 50% of these decks use more than that.
I would guess at least 10-20% of decks are based on a CBN combo, or use multiple CBN combos.
There have been no new adds to aid FBTN in recent sets.
How does this make for a viable tournament strategy? If we want to keep going on why it doesn't work, I'd love to.
-
what i ain't seen that many cbn cards
-
Wow, you need to play some mroe. They are everywhere.
AoCp is a virtual staple.
Teal has about 60% of its offense in CBN.
Genesis has about 40% of its offense in CBN, plus a pre-battle ignore possiblity.
Brown has the two most devestating CBN cmobos arguably.
Crimson has a super CBN character, as does Gray.
CBN is in every deck, period. It's not something you can ignore.
-
well how about judges?
-
Deborah's directive is CBN. Additionally, Judges Seat will take out most FBTN defensive characters with their high numbers.
-
i play judges they rock!
-
I'm not sure what this thread is about, but I can't imagine a situation where that last post wouldn't be considered spam. ;)
-
Im thinking Deacons will wipe the floor at Nats.
-
After they lose to heroless ;)
-
After they lose to heroless ;)
............. :(

Actually it is, as long as you play the ignore first.
;)
-
lets discuss please ;D ;D ;D ;) ;)
-
SPAM!!! Ha! Change the title please. ;D

I would say decks that play a mind game with your opponent are on the rise. These decks have one combo(s) or a strategy that will win you the game once set up, and most of the time your opponent will never see them coming until it's too late. And if your opponent can figure out what it is during the game before it's set up, then he'll probably win.

i'd have to say tgt is big

please metagame talk please.
