Well, the only cards that specify deacons are Philip the Evangelist and The Word Spreads, and if you have The Word Spreads, you definitely need Paramenas and Nicolas of Antioch, as well as Reach of Desperation and probably AoCP and ET. So...I would fit at least those cards in there. As to what you should use for blue, you're free to be creative...but with Philip's banding, Abraham's Servant to Ur is probably not a bad idea.

There are two or three ways to make deacon decks.

1. There is the deck that uses all 7 deacons. This style puts a bit of hamper on your deck since you are stuck with three brigades that dont really match and half your characters dont have sa's. But if you use Windows in the deck and throw in some banding cards this style isnt too bad.

2. There is the deck that uses only the purple/blue deacons. This is one of the more popular ways to use deacons as they have all the drawing sa's and a way to recur the deacon convert also blue and purple work pretty good with one anouther.

Edit* I just thought of style where you could use Gold/Purple and splash in Lois and Eunice to add more banding. This should play almost the same as the Blue/Purple.

3. Then there is my favorite which is a rather funky deck that is Gold/Blue/Purple/Red. This deck uses all the colors and red even though not all of the deacons are in there (around 4-5 are). It makes heavy use of banding and Negate cards so that you either win by numbers or converts with a load of negates to boot. This style has the highest learning curve and isnt really a style as much as a funky deck that makes no sense that I use.

Hope this helps!
