My mind hasn't been on Redemption much lately, and there's a tournament coming up in my area in August that I should think about preparing for.  So I was hoping some of you could help me come up with some deck ideas.  Here's the primary criterion:  I am not interested in using any strategies devised by Cactus (civilizations, Genesis, Judges, etc.).  I like decks that deviate from the norm.  For instance, for my last tournament I used an anti-draw deck (props to Gohanick for coming up with the idea).  If anyone's got some equally unusual ideas, I'd love to hear about them.

 P. S.  I would love to use Windows of Narrow Light, but I haven't been able to come up any ideas of how to use it without also using a Cactus-defined strategy.  Any ideas involving this card would be most appreciated.

Build a deck that does its offense during your opponent's turn and your defense during your turn.

-
Windows of Narrow Light + the red card that gains CBN + the card that gains 2 brigades + Built on the Rock + Melkiladeck's Blessing + no SA hero = awesomeness.

I'm not sure why Windows of Narrow Light is here. Once you play "the red card that gains CBN" (Passover Preparations), your no SA hero becomes an SA hero.  :(

A simpler path to the same thing is convert Saul to Paul then play Built on the Rock + Melchizedek's Blessing on Paul. Before converting Saul you could Tower him (to stop Uzzah/Trembling Demon). Once converted, you can turn up Hidden Treasures.

how about someone make a red deck that actually will win on a consistent basis... havent ever seen that. Us Kansas City folk have pretty much given up on red.

-
Hack cough burn deck + FBTN banding.

Unfortunately, you can't play L Blessing on Paul, he is NT.

I'm not sure about the no SA thing.  A hero with the red card still has no SA, he has a gained ability, something different.

im pretty sure that passover preparation's "gained special ability" counts as a special ability.

Good point, and Altar of Incense won't work for the same reason.  I guess you'd just need to add healing cards.

I'm right about the SA thing. In fact that's why I thought you added Built on a Rock (as it does the same thing as Windows of Narrow Light)--to protect after upgrading.

Just as a follow-up to jtay: I don't know what anyone else calls them, but our playgroup calls these kind of decks Rambo decks. A Rambo deck is one where you devote your effort to creating one unstoppable hero--who wins the war for you single-handedly.

Also, I don't like it when people keep stating that "I'm right", without room for argument.  I think I have made an argument which people might agree with, that SA =/= gained abilities.  I'm fine to debate that point, but nothing is done when people just state I'm right.  I'm not saying "I'm right", I'm saying "what about this?"

I'm sorry if I came of an insensitve or something, but the point is that the question has been asked and answered, as you can read here...

There's also the Play As for Passover Preparations in the REG...

Set aside a Hero that has no special ability (or added special ability) for four turns. Upon return enhancements played on Hero may not be interrupted, prevented, or negated.
