Is a Z-Temple deck good enough for Natz '09? If so, please see my Z-Temple deck thread and help make it the best it can be. I MIGHT be able to go to Nationals, and if I can I would like to at least have a chance. Thanks a ton!

Yeah... especially with some green. Just have a good defense. Any offense can win with a legit defense. Because legit defenses can even kill other defenses! ;D

So what would be a good defense? I currently have a Babylonian/Capture deck, but I've been thinking of switching to site-lockout. What's the best for a Z-Temple deck?

I use Sadduccees defense with my Z-temple deck. It works for me :)

A Z Temple offense has to set up within the first 5 turns. You need heroes that pull out Z Temple (Ithamar/Zaccheus) and heroes that pull out your artifacts (Eli the Priest) so that you can get everything down and set up. Also every offense needs Cov of Noah imo b/c the only thing that can stall against it is DoU/Failed Objectives/Belshazzar's Banquet and those cards. CoN can stop those. As for the defense I would use something fast with initiative such as PG/Crimson or Gray.

By the time those enhancements have resolved they'll be in the discard pile. I'm pretty sure that Covenant of Noah cannot target an enhancement in the discard pile to negate it.
Mr. Ducky, either of the defenses you're considering will pair up well with your Z's Temple offense. Babylonians are a very powerful defense and site lockout can be really good too. For both of those defenses, the bigger you can make them, the better they'll be (but keep it at no more than 56 cards). ;)

OH this is T1, nm then. And I always thought Cov Noah worked as I described.

That's how I learned it too. I think it changed when Cactus released Priests and the rules changed so that all cards must complete before another card can be played.

Typical Redemption, rules always change. Anyway if this is T1 I would not really use Ztemple at all. By the time you set up a speed/power deck would have won. That or you don't even need the whole Ztemple band to get through some t1 defenses now.

Panic demons. Make a massive panic demons deck. And I will continually recommend panic demons until many people join me and use them all the time. :o
But I guess babylonians are a good second choice. I'd recommend having a slightly bigger defense than offense. That way you can stop a speed/power deck(really not that hard to do with asherah pole and great image) ;D and give your offense time. Because once your offense sets up with cov. with phineus... there's not a whole lot they can do. I'd add in Holy unto the Lord, cause once you stop their offense with great image you can afford to lose all your defense. ;)

So, I'm going with a Babylonian defense, and it looks like this:
Crimson EC: 7
Nergalsharezer
Arioch
Red Dragon
Ashpenaz
Nebushashan
Archers of Kedar
Babylonian Forces
Crimson EE: 9
Carried Into Exile
Isaac Deceived
Deceit of Sapphira
Head of Gold
Treachery of Jezebel
Nebuchadnezzar's Dream
Belshazzar's Banquet
Apprehended
Swift Horses
What should I add/take away? Also, what if I did both a Site-lockout AND a Babylonian defense (with all the usual battle winners)? Or would that take up too much space? Thanks for the help!
My full deck is under "Type 1 Advice" - any advice there would also be greatly appreciated (in terms of my entire deck, not just my defense). Thanks!

In short, NO... ::)
