That deck does not need alot of enhancements. It has AOCP, for tgt. And, standing in the gap, for I am grace. But, my artifacts should get rid of some of the EC'S , for TGT as well. I also have the ol COTH chain.

But Tim Maly played basically the same deck for like 4 years in a row at Nats right? Everyone knew his deck and he still dominated with it. And it's not like anyone (cough, Kevin Shride, cough) used that knowledge to build and anti-Tim deck

No. SS mentioned that you shouldn't let others know your deck before big tournies. Then Prof just pointed out that Maly has used his own deck for several years, so everyone knows whats in it. And he is still successful with it.

Well, that's not quite true - He's succesful with it everywhere except nationals, where he's fallen flat the last few years.

Ok, but the only thing I think could stop this deck, is artifacts. And, I have DON, and CA to stop them .

I also disagree that you can't ever post your deck. I posted my regional deck last year, had one person prep against it, and still won regionals. I don't think it's a big deal really.

We have a guy in our play group who has basically used the same deck ever since he started. He combined 2 starter decks and has slowly been replacing non-essential cards with his booster pack winnings. Sure, one of us could try and build a deck designed to specifically counter his, but he knows how to time his cards very well. He knows the strengths and weaknesses of his deck and he accounts for that; which makes him difficult to defeat.

Of course, what I'd do is post "my" tourney deck in hopes that others WOULD build decks to counter it... Then I'd use a different deck.

he still plays he doesn't go to many tournments anymore though.

That's all I do, I usually end up checking in 50 - 100 decks.

Acually, someone did build a deck just to stop one person (Tim Maly). However, no one will build a deck just to stop goldencomet (or me for that matter). So I agree that he doesn't need to worry

Acually, someone did build a deck just to stop one person (Tim Maly). However, no one will build a deck just to stop goldencomet (or me for that matter). So I agree that he doesn't need to worry

That's right, if my deck stops yours as well, that's just a bonus!

But, I won't be attending Nationals so I guess, just like licking Tootsie Pops, the world may never know (If my deck stops yours).
