Title: Multi-Color Deck
Post by: DaClock on April 26, 2009, 10:44:18 PM
With all of the multi-colored cards now, do you think it'd be possible to make a decent deck with only multi-color characters/enhancements?

By the time the next set and starters come out I think it will work far better then if you made one right now ;). But yes you could maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe make a decent multi color deck.

Well you have some great characters. Melchezidek, Seeker of the Lost, Soldier of God, Faithful Servant, etc. However, the enhancements are lacking. Spiritual Warfare is pretty good, as is Passover and Unleavened Bread. You could also use First Fruits, Pentecost and Feast of Trumpets for drawing.

Defense is a bit harder. Self is the most versatile. The new civilization-demons are good, but they kill each other which is lame. There are some decent enhancements though such as Lurking, Torment, etc.

Right now I think a deck like this would have to rely on sites/arts to get stuff done. Ark of the Covenant, Holy Grail, 3 Nails, etc for offense. Unholy Writ, Thirty Pieces of Silver, Go Into Captivity, etc for defense.

Oh yeah, Preaching the Truth. Good call. Shoes of Peace could work well too. 4/4 decrease with Burning Censer might be beneficial, but without an angel the fortress-kill part isn't viable.

You can add in saul/paul who also happens to work with "Rome (Nerfs) Jerm."!

+1, Saul/Paul would fit quite well.

Except for the double Pentecost, that deck doesn't look half bad.

I would add a bunch of evil forts, so balance works a bit better... otherwise... yeah, looks pretty sweet, though, totally tournament unreliable.

Double Pentecost was an accident. Saul/Paul seems like a great addition but if he isn't converted he would be the single, single-color character which is kind of lame.

Also, the note about Balance and Evil Forts seems like a good idea but I think I'd take Balance out before I'd add more cards to make it work. Balance seems so situational and probably wouldn't help the majority of the time. Am I the only one who thinks this?

If you throw in some Tartarsauce you won't have to worry about your civi. Demons killing each other too much :)

Couple of really quick questions that I don't quite understand about this deck. I am a fan of the concept, and am working on a deck simular to this, using milti-color characters/enhancements, etc.

You have some enhancements, that are part silver, and yet there are no heroes that I know of (with the exception of Paul) that are multicolored with Silver. I'm assuming that Holy Grail could help with that...would you be better off replacing those enhancements?

If your evil characters are multi-colored, wouldn't "The Lord Fights for You" hurt you as much, if not more than your opponent?
