-
I'll start it with some Heroes
1. Simeon (do)
2. John (I/J)
3. Peter (TEC)
4. Simon the Zealot
5. Cornelius
-
Well, I'll add the obvious support:
6. The Garden Tomb
7. Herod's Temple
8. Golden Cherubim
The first two should be obvious adds. The last one is in considering how important it is to get out specific cards in the planned offense, and it goes in Temple.
-
Is this a contest?
-
Is this a contest?
No its a group effort project for fun.
Also I may play this offense whatever it ends up in the next local event I can attend.
-
Add:
The New Covenant
-
6. Each post can add one card until we hit 24 cards.
6. The Garden Tomb
7. Herod's Temple
8. Golden Cherubim
For someone who knows a lot about the rules of Redemption I guess you didn't read all the rules for this game. ;)
Anyhoo,
10. Angelic Visitor
-
11. Gamaliel's Speech
-
Anna(di)
-
I might want this offence!
-
13. Gabriel
Recur silver, NT prophet for Simeon to Band to.
-
14. Live Coal
-
15. Preaching at Pentacost.
(assuming a dominant is The Holy Spirit. If not than Gentleness)
-
15. Preaching at Pentacost.
(assuming a dominant is The Holy Spirit. If not than Gentleness)
If PaP is in the HS is a must so I'll add both even though I said excluding doms. HS is a specific play not a general Dom.
-
The Strong Angel.
If we're going to have silver as one of the colors (Which I don't necessarily agree with) Then this guy is a must

I tend to agree here but the goal is keep 4 colors involved in the offense. I am not sure what NT color I like more in this gold or silver. Silver just has more initial synergy with green (Simeon, live coal, spiritual warfare, gabiriel, Michael (aw))
-
Striking Herod.
-
This offense has only 6 slots left and it's very spread. I could be wrong but unless the next six cards are very focused this offense doesn't seem like it'd do all that great.

Agreed but this is why I allowed for card switches after the 24 slots are filled.
I added Barnabus. This leaves 5 slots. Honestly I see red being the cut color this would allow us to replace Simon the Zealot and Cornelius but I'll wait for that.
-
Nunc dittimus.
-
Behold the Lamb
-
We are at 21 cards and some switches are pending for once we hit 24.
-
Provisions. Two green characters is enough to warrant a CTB.

We have 3 green characters actually

Typically I am not normally a fan of provisions in type 1, but I think it's kinda pretty in this deck.

Combos: Get The Strong Angel on turn one, and start making rescues. ;)

Ah, quite right. Missed Barnabas there (still not used to most of the TEC cards). Even more so, then.
-
Combos: Get The Strong Angel on turn one, and start making rescues. ;)
Why strong angel and not captain of the host?
-
2 reasons
First CoTH doesn't megate banding
Second I am only allowing NT Hero's in this deck
-
Which SA, warriors or kings?
-
Warriors, no reason to have kings.
Another add: Spiritual Warfare
Also, it is done, so I will add Gentleness, so that I may remove the last two blank cards and add 2 more, per the rules.
;)

The 1st copy is now in the books let's make changes and solidify this offense.
Yes it is my hope that this will eventually evolve into some form of META

***The Holy Spirit***
I cut the new covenant because with Herod's Temple it's rather redundant and I've never been a fan of it. I added Hidden treasures to replace it for synergy with prophets and spiritual warfare.
I cut Simon the Zealot for Matthias because I don't think red is that great and it has no support in this deck right now. Matthias is another target for Gamiliels Speech and can play purple enhancements as well as clay.

I cut Provisons and Behold the Lamb for patience and two bears. Behold the lamb is insanely underwhelming as a card even though it's absurdly cool. Patience is absurdly good and Two bears should have already been in. I really desperately want to cut the HT and SW because you really don't need HT not to mention it's pretty clunky. I want to take out preaching at pentecost and Holy Spirit but I doubt I could get that swung. This needs $DC and fishers of men pretty badly. Faithful priest would be awesome as well.
-
I am also not a huge fan of behold the lamb or provisions but I disagree with provisions being cut from the deck the way it is right now. Patience is really good here because there aren't a ton of draw or search abilities.
HT may appear clunky but the secondary ability is really good and I'd eventually like to see Peter's Sermon in this deck which Barnabus can play off of HT. Plus 2 bears can be brutal off HT with TGT in a deck.
I also am not a huge fan of Holy Spirit but with 2 fruits and Preaching at Pentecost it's possible it could work again played preblock off of Barnabus. It's a Gimmick but sometimes if deck has enough of them it works.
With Patience and assuming you would Hopper I'm not sure Fishers is necessary. 4DC will get in eventually. It might be a good switch to drop SW for 4DC because TGT does enough ignore on its own. However the potential to recur it and do it again with Gabriel is also really strong.
I also think Holy Grail, Lampstand, and I am Holy are worth consideration in this deck but then it gets artifact heavy.
I hadn't thought about the synergy of Nunc Dittimis with Patience is really solid.

Nunc Dittimis is BUSTED in NT splash.

I removed Preaching at Pentecost for Speak with Power.
I'm just not a big fan of Preaching - With the 2x clear CBN on Peter aspect, paired with the Barnabas clear through protect fort for TGT, Power is just to good not to have.
I also removed Holy Spirit - It just doesn't feel like that kind of deck.
I put in Michael (Warriors) Really felt that the deck needed an 11th hero. I'm not 100% sold that this is the correct one, the Striking Herod play is strong, as is the Live Coal play. So I'm about 80% sold on it - Angel Wars vs Warriors was a consideration here, but I just didn't see the benefit of WC.

The reason you would use Angel Wars would be if you were running something like Herods or Emperors on defense, because you could run Fortress of Antonia with it. Otherwise I don't think it really matters.
-
This has probably been asked a million times but is Michael a prophet?
-
This has probably been asked a million times but is Michael a prophet?
Nope. Just a warrior.
-
This has probably been asked a million times but is Michael a prophet?
Nope. If he was a Prophet, then he'd be an absolute no-brainer for this deck. That said, I'm still fairly convinced that he's the right guy anyway. I can come up with a couple other names for that slot, but they would all have me wanting to cut Striking Herod
-
Feel free to toss around ideas anyone can make changes they like.
-
So at the moment we literally have nothing for John to play, that seems like a weak point in the offense.
Also we are running Peter, and no 4DC, that also seems weird.
-
So I'll take that as a drop John for 4DC. Even if u don't want to count it as a move I'll swap it.
-
Without John im not sure TGT should stay 1 for 1's are not good and TGT may help an opponent.
Also should we drop Matthias at this point?
This is quickly moving towards only 3 brigades which is probably stronger anyways so perhaps I'll modify the rules to allow it drop to 3 brigades.
-

We do have angelic visitor to search out Peter, so I think TGT could still be fine.

Gaberiel needs to be I/J
