These themes fit together very nicely. I'm not very good at perfecting ideas, but here's a rough draft of my idea with mainly the essentials:

 Foul Spirit
 King Ahaz
 King Jeroboam
 King Nadab
 King Zedekiah

 Dungeon of Malchiah
 Gibeonite Trickery
 Korah's Rebellion
 Land Purchase
 Taking Naboth's Vineyard

 King Abijah
 King Rehoboam
 Queen Maachah

 Large Tree (beast!)
 Nebuchadnezzar's Pride
 Set Fire

 Lying Unto God

 Captured Ark

 Asherah Pole

 Gates of Jerusalem
 High Places

 Destruction of Nehushtan
-
				Threatened Lives.

-
Agh! Why does EVERYONE say to add in threatened lives? It's really only useful with high places...

-
Pardon my intrusion, but what is Gates of Jerusalem? I haven't heard of that card and can't find it in the REG. >_<

LN, Read the title of the thread before posting please.

Yep I read it, thanks for the assumption Alex.  :P

My point is that it's not that useful unless you have high places..... just because you build a deck with high places doesn't mean you NEED high places to lock your opponent. And a "lock" is supposed to be just that: a lock. Threatened Lives is NOT a lock.

threatened lives is awesome. put a BBH to the bottom and you just gained a LOT more turns for your lock cards to come up.

Plenty of cards aren't locks, but when they have the potential to uber delay the game, you don't toss it aside. He's playing with High Places, making it infinately easier to use, and so, really, he has no reason not to use Threatened Lives.

I would love to see a King David play this deck.
