The best way to describe my defensive strategy is probably "Explosive". I have mostly low numbered Evil Characters to gain initiative, and then play a battle destroying battle winner. I play grey and Crimson, (I merged red and green starters) so i have deceit of Saphira and deluge of rain. I also use Coliseum lions and Imitating evil (searches my discard for a crimson and plays it). I have False peace, (grey) which lets me search my draw pile for any card. Son of God/New Jerusalem/Burial/Christian Martyr win the battle. False priests lets me use false peace twice, a powerful affect but hard to pull off. King Zihmri discards all cards in battle if i discard a crimson from hand, Leper slowly kills a hero no matter the outcome, Elymas discards an opposing hero if i discard a demon, red dragon is immune, And Lying spirit bands to any human evil character. Open banding like this is my favorite, as long as i can band to my opponent. I once banded one of my heroes to my opponent's Caleb, (with enhancement, and i used him to discard his giant) who banded to his Men of Judah, who banded to his Army of Simeonites. The banding defence helps because I can band to one of my opponent's evil characters that i want to take out and use deluge of rain. The only problem is initiative. So far it's worked pretty well, as long as i draw the characters.

you better have some stuff against FBTN (fight by the numbers)
-
You definitely need things that are CBN, as most offenses hav CBN things tht u wont be able to stop especially with so many interrupt cards. I would suggest Asherah Pole depending upon wut kind of offense ur using

I like it, thanks for sharing, be blessed!

That's how I'd describe mine as well... just need some beans and a lighter and I'm all set!

I've had much greater success with my "No Souls for You" defense, where the Heroes never get initiative to interrupt. 1/1 EC plays an enhancement that either discards THEMSELF only, or plays something like Death of the Unrighteous or Just a Hireling to also bury lost souls. Hero never gets initiative to do anything about it. Add Love of Money to make it more versatile, Self for the same reason, Amalekite Slave, Unknown Nation, and Trembling Demon and Holy of Holies. Torment, Confusion of Mind, and Trap of the Devil help too.
Hope this helps.

nice but i don't like the idea of playing with a multi-color defense unless it's stand alone

I feared that too at first, but in a 50 card deck with the search and multi-color cards I mentioned and (including False Peace by the way), only very rarely do I not have something I can use.

I think i might try out some new combinations of defensive brigades with RTS

I always build decks and then battle myself......
-
that's weird. how would you do that?
-
He does it all in his head.

Yeah, you could throw in Confusion of Mind, Golden Calf, Holy of Holies, and other stuff to help compete with CBN characters.
