Title: Canaanites and Magicians
Post by: hi123 on October 22, 2011, 04:34:00 PM
It seems like canaanites and magicians could work well together. They each have their own battle winner( magicians snakes and stone of thebez). You could have four canaanites:

1) Abimelech
2)Shechem
3)The Woman of Thebez
4)Gibeonite Delegates

their enhancements:
1) Stone of Thebez
2) Joseph in Prison
3) Foolish Advice

4 Magicians:

1)Enchanter
2) Users of Curious Arts( being able to use black EE's)
3) Balaam
4) Astrologers

their enhancements:
1)Magicians Snakes
2)Achans Sin
3) Divination

Throw in Tower of Thebez and Magic charms. A total of 16 cards.

Ehh it could work, but I don't see more than three blocks and I'd imagine Phillies/Canaanites would work better. You'd get the same amount of blocks (maybe more) in something like this

Arts 1
Charms

ECs 9
Manny
Damsel
Gomer
Uzzah
Astroligers
Amalekite's Slave
Nebuchadnezzar
King Belshazzar
King of Tyrus

EEs 6
Invoking Terror
2000 horses
Forgotten History
Haman's Plot
Belshazzar's Banquet
Nebuchadnezzar's Pride

That's 16 cards with +6 blocks

True/ but how many rescue attempts would your opponent make? You should be able to win your game before your opponent can beat the defense more than three times. And, i think it could block more than that. Once with Stone of thebez+Woman of thebez. Then you have two other EE for black that could potentialy win the battle. Then you have Magicians snakes, play that with any magician and thats a battle winner. Magic charms lets you capture two heros without you having to go into battle.

A lot more. I don't see how you will be able to get more than two blocks a games with this 16 card defense while some of the nicest standalones can net you 5+ blocks in less than 16 cards.

Unless a Battle winner is CBN or CBI or some how really hard to stop (like Uzzah), than you probably can't depend on that to be a successful block. The M pretty much summed it up: a standalone will be faster, smaller, and get more successful blocks.
