Title: Best small offense?
Post by: hi123 on February 20, 2011, 07:27:54 PM
Well, I am looking for a really small offense, but it has to be really powerful with the people at my playgroup. i have a defense right now that is really hard to beat but it is really big. So I am looking for an offense of 15 cards at MOST !

Here is the Defense:

The Rabsaris
The Assyrian Spoilers
King Shalmaneser

Witch of Endor
Wizards
Enchanter

The Amalakites Slave
Uzzah

Magicians Snakes
Achans Sin
The Rabshakeh Threats
Two Thousand Horses
Confusion

Assyrias Tribute
Peters Curse
Go into Captivity
Captured Ark
Magic Charms
Unholy Writ

Will this deck do well with Zebulan only offense? If not, I want a speed offense.

I don't think Zebulen is a very effective offense anymore. Job is probably your best bet. Key cards include:

Job, Abraham's Descendent, Seraphim, Striking Herod, Job's Faith, Dust and Ashes, Jubilee, Job Overcomes.

Job or the Hero in LN's profile picture.

If you want speed I find a combination of three cards on offense is great for speed, Z-Temple, Joiada son of Eliashib, and Pentecost, Joiada recurrs Pentecost so each turn you can be drawing six cards with that, then once you draw out your deck, get The Sabbath and recurr it, makes it so your enhancements can't be negated, that is what I use and I find it works well.

I wouldn't rely on that. For regular tournament-going people, how often are you seeing Darius' Decree in the average deck?

Wouldn't a destruction of nehustan take care of that though?

You can activate it, and discard it before DoN can take care of it.

Right because you can't target discarded cards... but there has to be some way to stop Darius' Decree though.. I mean there are not a lot of cards in redemption without a counter to it that I know of.

Any of a dozen healing cards, Brass Serpent stands out.  Joseph's silver cup possibly.

Too bad Darius' Decree isn't considered an evil card, otherwise Covenant with Phinehas would work too..
