Title: Which is the best deck theme?

I'm looking for straight power and efficiency, not necessarily which one is the most "fun" to play with - I want to actually win a tournament for once. Thanks!

Z-temple Speed with coward defense/minor sitelock just won me a district (and due to the latest Gabe win, 2nd in ROOT...but the game with Gabe was close :P). It's offense and drawing is it's power, and it is an efficient power which is what you asked for. Under the criteria you gave, without a doubt: Z-temple speed. It is the most efficient offense out there!

Purple Royalty is fast enough to keep up with speed/teal, doesn't require enough cards so that you can have a defense, and has recurable battle winners. It's pretty much amazing, considering you can have 19/19 and still play the first enhancements in battle with the throne of David active. :D

Post by: TheKarazyvicePresidentRR on March 26, 2009, 10:37:34 PM: I like heroless, I've netted 15th? at nationals with it, at 70 cards. Herolite(Judges) also works very well.

I likePurple(royalty) when I do use a deck with less than 70 cards cuz as LN said it is quite fast.

I will admit that I'm still tinkering with this deck...so you may be right. The other suggestions (outside of yours)...I disagree with.

I've loaned it to many new players who didn't even know the cards or deck well and watched them win against more experienced players with tournament level decks. I've had people copy it off the internet and win their State tournament. I've seen others modify it to make their own version have a lot of success. One of the great things about the deck is that it's pretty forgiving (meaning you can make some mistakes and still do well).

The deck has it's weaknesses, especially with some of the new cards released in the past couple years. Even though, it's often fast enough and powerful enough to overcome them most of the time.

P.S. - If you try it change Cov w/Moses or Lug to Captured Ark.

And there's still the powerhouse of Angels and Assyrians (sometimes with orange splash)

But, seeing those, I realize I was COMPLETELY out of it when I asked the question - the whole point of the question (and this is MY fault for forgetting to put it in ::))was pre-RoA. So, if you wouldn't mind, please reply again, this time keeping in mind my lack of RoA cards. Thanks!
