Characters that benefit your offense. (IE: Sabbath Breaker, a King for my boi Amaziah, etc)

For Multiplayer, because you will have so many people go for you, I think it is better to just put some small strong defense and focuse more on your offense, so you can get more soul that way. Thanks.

I don't know if it's still viable, but when I last played T1 multi years ago (winning the Origins con tournament), I used no defense at all. As long as you give your LSs evenly to your opponents AND can pretty much make a successful rescue every turn you have an excellent shot at winning.

Warning: Even if this is still viable, it tends to upset some of your opponents who think you ought to at least try to mount a defense. It also can backfire in a game where more than one player is using this style and LSs are being given away left and right.

I won Type 1 multi at VA State this year with Uzzah, Torment, and Sabbath Breaker as my only ECs and evil enhancements.  56 cards.  I used a White NT female offense with Priests of Christ splashed in for fun.  But a lot of my "defense" was to hinder other players from rescuing lost souls from other players (after mine are gone).  So I had Unholy Writ, Confusion of Mind, Holy Of Holies, Lampstand, Darius' Decree, Asherah Pole and Golden Calf in there too.  In other words, negating the abilities of your opponents' heroes is very cool because it makes it harder for them to rescue from ANYONE.  Any defense larger than 10 cards in multi is probably not going to win, unfortunately.

Finally, I advise against cards that sweep away huge numbers of ECs from multiple territories, like AOCP, A Child is Born, A New Beginning, etc.  These cards get rid of players' defenses OTHER THAN just the opponent you are trying to rescue from.  In fact, I think ignore is the single most important battle-winning ability in T-1 multi, because it leaves that EC standing there to block the next hero's rescue attempt.

Hope this helps in some way.

I agree with with the ignore part, after Garden Tomb, ignore have been a great offense, and with all those other cards that said if this EC are discard, it won't work anymore, therefore I said ignore for offense, trickery defense would work really well. Just hope you don't backfire yourself. Thank you.

I'd say the fbtn LS will make it a lot easier to get LS's in multi.

I like using characters like Gomer and Lots Wife so I can use other people's ECs. If I win, then I stopped a rescue. If I lose, then there's less defense to stop me.  ;D

Then people come using wandering spirit and spirit of temptation that all bands.

I built a deck that was entirely based on this.  It worked, but it's still better to splash numbers/FBTN.
