Strategy in T2: Try to figure out the best way to make all of your opponents' cards useless...
I usually tried to do this by putting my opponents deck into his discard pile and then removing them all from the game, but alas, those days seem to be behind us ;)

I just haven't had enough incentive since most of our local players quit.Hey the "south OH" players haven't quit :)
Oh, I was just going by the website that lists Sat at 11am as Redemption T1-2p tournaments. But Travis just mentioned to me on FB that it's a new thing, so maybe it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully it'll catch on.
As for development, we are indeed working on a new set, but it just depends on the finances as to what the next product will be (tins, foil pack, something else, etc.). I think everyone would like to do a foil pack, but we're just not sure that the money will be there. I'm wondering if a Kickstarter thing might help out.
I know of a few established Musicians who used kickstarter to generate funds for a CD.Oh, I was just going by the website that lists Sat at 11am as Redemption T1-2p tournaments. But Travis just mentioned to me on FB that it's a new thing, so maybe it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully it'll catch on.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think a Redemption expansion would be a permitted use of the Kickstarter website. The game has already been established; if it were a new game it would be permitted, but for an already established one you may have to go through another website.
When you say foil, do you mean like TexP or an all new foil or partial foil set?We are considering all options, so that would include tins like FOOF, boxes like TXP, and foils like Priests. Our preference would be to go with a big new set like Priests. But that is also the most expensive, so that's why I was thinking Kickstarter :)
I wonder how Cactus is doing financially and how the new set is selling? It seems like tournaments and playgroups have been diminishing but it is hard to get an overall picture. My understanding is that Cactus is doing fine financially, but that it is because of their other products. Redemption is only bringing in a fraction of the overall profits for the company at this point. But it is still Rob's baby, and so we are very thankful for his continued support and love that he puts into this great game. As for playgroups, they are diminishing in places (like OH which would lead to your feelings), but they are growing in other places (like TN and AL). Overall I think the game is staying at about the same level that it's been for a long time.
There are plenty of other reliable crowdsourcing sites that could be used, but Kickstarter is perhaps the most restrictive as to what you can and cannot use.I also had seen established musicians doing Kickstarter for new albums and assumed it would work for this. Can you suggest another crowdsourcing site that we should check out?

Mark, are you trying to say that in the possible near future, musicians may get stronger and become a future favorite?I cannot confirm nor deny anything of note regarding musicians in the next set :)
You'd have to look and see if it was an acceptable project for Kickstarter. If it is not (which it may be, you just need to do some digging), then Indiegogo is essentially the same thing and a lot more flexible. Thanks for the head's up :)
That was my concern as well. I do have a question though - what is an LCG?
If the Elders wanted to make Musicians more powerful, they would simply rule that Isaiah and Simeon (and the other Hymn authors) are musiciansI also had seen established musicians doing Kickstarter for new albums and assumed it would work for thisMark, are you trying to say that in the possible near future, musicians may get stronger and become a future favorite?
So forget the third-party sites and hit up the people you know will be interested. You could tailor Kickstarter-type reward levels (e.g., pay $X now and get a complete playset of the cards when they are printed) for the existing players and see what funding you can get via that means. My understanding though is that if you go through Kickstarter/Indiegogo that when people commit to something that the funds are automatically locked away to be used if the project is fully funded.
You may want to split this into a different topic, since it's not directly related to what the OP asked. :)have no fear, Raven's here :D and I took the liberty to start a topic on kickstarter
