Title: Site-Lockout: Is it dead?
Post by: Mageduckey on March 29, 2009, 05:40:36 PM
I'm just wondering, does anyone play with a site-lockout deck anymore?  If so, is it successful?

I ask because I think I might need a better defense for my Z-Temple deck, and a few stand-alone EC's plus a site-lockout deck might be good, but I'd like to know what others feel about it first.  Thanks!

Hah, I lock people out of sites with my decks ALL THE TIME.  Site lock-out is about as dead as I am.  You play me, you better pray y ou get your access cards and keep them where I cant get to them  ;)

Okay - that's awesome.  I'll switch out my defense for my conversion deck to be site-lockout now, if it does so well lol.  Thanks!

Be sure to check out this abd other articles from holders heroes

The one issue I saw from skimming this article is that Every Man's Sword does not work that way.  It used to be ruled that EMS kept them out of battle unless there was a LS in open territory but it it has since been ruled differently.  It still works to some degree but not as well as it used to.

hey,
If you can get it to work, it would sure be an effective counter to Garden Tomb!

Provided your sites aren't white (Salome/Mary MOJ), blue (M Mags), green (Jo), purple (John) or red (Pete).

Not many play with peter or Joanna so a babylonian banquet hall Site lockout strategy is a pretty good one.

Others are Egypt sites with building egypt in your deck or green samaria sites with King Omri and land purchase in your deck.

Site lock-out is like speed. A speed deck will win alot of the time but never all the time. Site lock-out will win alot of the time but never all of the time.

Site lock is not going away any time soon.  Especially after this summer.

The release of the next Redemption expansion at Nationals, CA.  :)

It's a small set, but potent.  :)

Brown Site lockout + Purple is a REALLY good deck

I used Brown with Musicians for a while, and it did marvellously. I would really recommend it.

I used a vicious brown site lock and several forms of herolite combo offenses for a long time... the defense was the strongest part of the decks more often then not.

Hey, Brian, any ideas as to how much it will cost?  I'm already behind (not having RoA), and if I make it to Natz I'll be owing money to my parents, so I'd like to know so that I can possibly figure that into my calculations.  Thanks!

It's not dead at all, you just wait and somebody'll pick one up and win big time.

I'll let Rob answer that when he is ready.  Don't expect an answer before April 24, probably much later.

It will cost your soul, $5 dollars and your best friend's house. Not too much, it's a pretty cheap set.

What if you don't have a friend, or a soul?

Then it will be $25 instead.

Then take someone ELSE's soul and sell your OWN house.  ;)

Then you don't need a set.  ;D  Back on topic, yes, site lockout is still killer, especially against my deck.  :(

site lock out can be very succesful but there are a few cards out there that can take sites.  I had my dragon raid stolen from me and lost access to my opponents sites and he gain access to my sites.

Should site lockout players even use dragon raid?  Isn't an integral part of site lockout getting rid of you opponent's sites?

yes, the object of site lockout is to remove your opponent's access.  Dragon Raid is a great card, but Pergamum obviously hurts it....
