I just got REALLY into Redemption about 3-4 months ago and am kinda confused..... There is soooo many different cards and good cards and bad cards that i just don't know exactly where to start :o On top of all that I had to teach myself how to play the game and there is NO groups in my area!!! :'( I have like only 2 ppl to play regularly with! I REALLY want to get good at the game and eventually become a veteran at this 8) My goal is to make it to Nats next year ;D So can anybody advise me on the guidelines of deck building? :angel: :P ;D

A deck must contain at least 50 cards and no more than 150 cards. You can only have one copy of each card with text in your deck until it reaches at 100 or more, then you can have doubles of everything but dominants. You must have 1 lost soul in your deck for every 7 cards. So here is a list of deck sizes and # of LS's you would need:
50-56: 7LS's
57-63: 8LS's
64-70: 9 LS's
71-77: 10 LS's
78-84: 11 LS's
85-91: 12 LS's
92-98: 13 LS's
99-105: 14 LS's
and so on....
People generally keep their decks to no more than 63 because any bigger and you won't get good draws unless you do 100 cards or more, then you can double up but won't get your dominants very quickly. When I was starting I was given a guideline to use to build. It was 7 Heroes 7 good enhancements 7 evil characters and 7 evil enhancements. From there you can pick the artifacts fortresses dominants and sites that will help you the most. One last rule is that you cannot have more sites than you have LS's. I believe that is it...someone let me know if i missed something.

I know the basic deck building rules and ideas, I guess I just gotta find a theme or something and build on that.... :-\ :)

you just have to experiment with the different themes. I have done that. You really can't say which one is best because each theme can be great depending on how the person who has it plays. I am on my 2nd deck and making my third now from my second. So all it takes is practice with the cards : )-

lol i know you live by speed caleb lol But i think for the first one he should try genesis. I think angels have great characters but not that many good enhancements. That is why i cut angels down in my deck. Lots of hard cards to get too. lol

Well I suggested them because they're not complex (unless you start mixing the (blank I forget the name) cov and CoA loop) and assyrians are powerful straight up

I don't disagree with the assyrians. They are awesome. You are thinking of I am Holy Blue cov that lets you discard a good card from hand to discard an evil card from opponents or if they don't have any show the hand?
