is there a card that retrieves ANY card from the discard pile?

nope.

Moses and Elders (Pa)
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: White • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: None • Special Ability: Search your discard pile for any good card, except a Dominant or Artifact card, and put it into your hand. • Play As: Search your discard pile for any good card, except a Dominant or Artifact card, and place it into your hand. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Exodus 18:21 • Availability: Patriarchs booster packs (Ultra Rare)

This is about as good as your going to get for good cards (including forts!)

Evil is more limited.

Both Angel at the Tomb and Angel at Tomb can recur Son of God, if thats what you're looking for.
