Title: Soul/Dominant choices from T1 2P Nationals decks
Post by: The Guardian on August 09, 2016, 02:11:18 PM
Hey guys, if you're willing to post the deck you used at Nationals (regardless of your placing), that would be sweet! I am actually mostly interested in the Lost Soul and dominant choices that people made. I want to look at things like "How popular was Hopper LS even with Moses being a factor?" or "How many people used the CoW Falling Away compared to the Womens Falling Away?"

Also, if there was a situation where you would have used a different dominant if you had it (i.e. you used New Jerusalem and not The Second Coming because you did not own one), definitely make a note of that.

1   Son of God (I)
1   The Second Coming
1   Guardian Of Your Souls - swapped in for Destruction of Nehushtan, way more worth it imo since I have cards which can take out arts or negate HSR
1   Angel of the Lord (Greek) - gold border looks so good with TSC!!
1   Mayhem
1   Falling Away - womens because my defense is not that great
1   Christian Martyr (J)

1   Lost Soul II Samuel 23:6 (Thorns)
1   Lost Soul Jeremiah 17:9 (Punisher)
1   Lost Soul (Protector) Luke 5:15
1   Lost Soul II Chronicles 28:13 (Hopper) still worth it even with people running new Moses imo
1   Lost Soul (Lawless)
1   Lost Soul (Dull)
1   Lost Soul Luke 15:15-16 (Pigs)
1   Lost Soul (Awake)

1   Son of God (I)
1   The Second Coming (if SoG gets confusioned, I can still taget AotL, which I did for a win.)
1   Angel of the Lord (Greek) because... GOLD
1   Mayhem (Crimson defense)
1   Christian Martyr
1   Destruction of N. -- I probably would have switched this to Harvest Time with my offense, there were 3 games that I got to four and my opponent's drought led to their victory (Flood survivor offense has no soul gen.) Most of the time I played destruction was just because I could, not because I needed to.
1   Falling Away - Womens, I have not played with the new one much and I have always seen the old one as more of an impact to an overall tournament score, as opposed to a single game. Although I do see the new falling away as a very strong card and it could have come in handy in a few ways.

(I'll have to check my souls laters) but Hopper still would have worked great for my soul gen. (I didn't run into Moses a lot and when I did, I either dealt with him right away or most of my own souls were already on the table.)

Flood survivor offense has no soul gen.

That's good to know, i'm making a t2 flood survivors deck, and i was wondering what some weak points might be.

SoG
TSC
AotL
Mayhem
CM
FA (CoW)
DoN

Hopper
Revealer
Awake
FBTN
CBP
3 Liner
Open Hands
Lawless or Wanderer (can't remember)

Basically, I wanted my LS to get me off to a good start (soul gen plus looking at opponent's hand) before the LS negation kicked in.  And CBP/3 Liner are CBN.

As for FA (CoW), I had Ehud in my deck   :D

Ran a Moses/Philistines list.

Doms:
Son of God (I Deck, best artwork version)
  The Second Coming
Angel of the Lord (Greek because it's the coolest)
  Christian Martyr
Destruction of Nehushtan (needed to kill Signet Rings and Holy Grails)
Mayhem (Card advantage is awesome, shuffling away a bad hand is also awesome.  Never felt myself wishing for a Grapes, which would be the other option for this slot.)
Falling Away (Women - I didn't expect to see many Guardians, so I used what I felt was more guaranteed to affect the score)

Souls
Hopper (even with Moses, this gives an opportunity to run at 42 actual cards as compared to 43, plus will be soul gen in some games)
  Dull
  Divination
  CBP
  Protector
  Awake
  Punisher
  Tin XXVI
