Title: Isaiah/Judges/Assyrians/Babylonians
Post by: DJWeb on February 04, 2014, 06:55:52 PM
I played this deck at the MN district tournament last weekend. It took third, but had it not been for two misplays on my part it probably would have taken first. If I play with this in the future, I would like to work in Foreign Wives, but still keep it at 50 cards. Other suggestions are welcome. It's the first tournament I have placed in since taking second place once in the pre-Priest days, so I would like to thank Mr. Voigt for his generosity in helping me get back into the game this last year or so.

things I would drop
King Saul
Chaldeans
Dream
Siege Works
Captain of the Hosts

things I would add
King Belshazzar (recurs Banquet and temple arts)
Swift horses (weapon can be used on bel of Neb if not still is a d2)
Bel's Banquet
Forest Fire (this is a must have card in decks running babs at all)
Ezekiel (can hold Iron Pan without using art slot, pulls wheel or Forest fire back and makes FF CBN)

Thanks for the suggestions, I had not thought of using Forest Fire. I will keep them in mind if/when I use this deck again.

You have a lot of Evil Characters, and few enhancements.  I would try and balance them a little more.

I found the balance worked well. I have 8 ECs, and 6 EE, counting the recurable Razor and Siegeworks. I might add one more crimson battle winner though for Neb. I don't need many blocks because the offense is fast.

With the Hopper being your only LS generator card, how often were you unable to attack due to lack of LS?

I find the lack of battle winners disturbing. You have 3 on offense and 3 on defense, 2 of which are both good and evil.

Not very often. Isaiah's Call and Pan meant I could get every soul they had down. I had no problems with the female or NT only.

Again, I didn't find this as a problem. It took third instead of first because of my inexperienced player mistakes. The offense rarely needed any battle winners, and when I used Razor or Siegeworks on defense, I could get them right back with Isaiah.

First off, Congrats on 3rd. Second, I like this deck. Third, I would consider the changes jbeers suggested. It would make the deck even more powerful. Nicely done!

How did your deck do against Nazareth?

Congrats on third!
How did your deck do against Nazareth?

It was a few months ago, so I don't remember exactly. I think I had a big problem with Darius' Decree one game. Most of the searching is done in the first turn or two. I also had ASA to take out Naz if it was a problem. I think I did that once.

Iron Pan lets u search with naz  out still as well and if u put forest fire in then it also allows you to blow up naz
