Title: FBTN offense, Crimson, light defense, shouldnt be that bad!
Post by: hi123 on August 30, 2010, 08:12:28 PM
This deck used to be a 50 carder deck. But, after seeing a 70 card deck come 3rd( congrats Tyler!) I thought I'd give a bigger deck a shot!

63 Cards~

8 Lost Souls-
Withdraw

Speedy  :bump:

Angel Rescue

TSA, non WC
Benaiah, non WC

9 Good Hero Enhancement's-

Pillar of Fire
Breastplate of Rightiousness

Pillar of a Cloud
Belt of Truth
Sword of the Spirit
Shoes of Peace
Chastisement of the Lord, Promo
Benaiah Snatches a Spear

8 Evil Charactar's-

Nebushashban
Red Dragon, SA
Leviathin
Nebuchadnezzar( no SA, I am looking for one, if ya have one please let me know! Sorry for being off topic for a sec, but only PM me ! )
Ashpenaz
Abijah
Babylon the Great( good for initiative.)

Uzzah ( my crimson defense is kinda weak, and I have alot of artifacts so I threw Uzzah, and T-Ment, thoose always help!)

4 Sites & Fort's-

The Trap of the Devil
Promised Land
Wall of Protection
NJ Site

Good Dom's-

NJ
Grapes
SOG
AOTL
GOYS

Evil-

CM
DON
"FA

Basically, this deck has a fighting by the numbers offense. I have theese combo's--

Simeon
Jacob
Captain

Is. Archer + COTH

Is. Archer, + Either Benaiah, or Ira. I have the good multicolored enhancements to , of course help the heros out, as well as chastisement of the lord, and Elijah's Mantle.

The Defense is also pretty easy to figure out. It is crimson, and has Uzzah and Torment for backup!!

I also think this deck could really hurt speed. I considered taking out torment for burial shroud. But, I thought the deck needed better defense.

Thought / and Comments would be appriciated!!!

I don't liek straight up ftbn. You need to jazz it up because there are tons, and I do mean TONS (not literally) of CBN evil enhancements. Your d looks ok. But i think you should cut down on arts and put those slots to offense. I would throw in Ashael, a soldier's prayer and passover and unleavened bread. I love this combo in FTBN. It works well. Also you don't need that many good enhancements if you are banding. you just need enhancements that are cbn negates. also i'd switch the withdraw with the exchanger ls and take out the cbp ls. Put in the shut door one.

Darius' Decree. Useful only against Hero-lite/less.

I would put in Benaiah Snatches a Spear for sure.

I would also put in a Begging for Grain on defense..... It's gray, so I would splash Naaman + N's Horses/Chariots to go with it.

Hmmm.... That really wouldnt go with the theme.... But, what does Begging for Grain do again?

I think it negates enhancements currently in play, so Naaman would be a 12/11 FBTN. Plus, with N's Horses/Chariots, it is CBN and you get to play first.

Hmmm... Ummm... Does anyone else think I should add that? ~ Sorry, but, I would only like this deck to be crimson, with an Uzzah in it. + 3-Liner & A bag of chips said it was a good defense already, but thank you for the idea !

IMO, 56-card decks don't have enough beef, but 70 would be pushing it. I usually build 63-card decks, and they do alright (I've never played in any tournaments, but I think they might do decent).

For your deck, I would use the older Jacob if you have it.  You don't have much warrior class banding, so I would either add a couple more or take out Isrealite Archer and switch to non Warrior class heros.  If you get more banding in there I would use Elijah's Mantle but if not then I would use Crown of Thorns (or maybe both).  I would definitely take out Asherah Pole since it hurts your offence so much; you would never want to use it.  You only have 2 blue heros for Chastisement so I would either change that for a gold set-aside or add in the Tribal Elder or the 12/6 blue hero and Abe's Servant to Ur.  also maybe Body of  Christ, a quick permanent boost to numbers and a help for the discarding or poisons that might happen.  I would not use Benaiah Snatches a Spear; you only have 1 hero for it.  I would definitely add the gold covenant to return captured heros, many of the CBN defence cards are capture cards.

For the defence I think it might be worth it to add 6 evil cards and go to 70.  The BTN offence tries to win quick (which this doesn't seem aimed at) or it needs to wear down the opponent.  The larger defence would give you a chance to do that.

I would add a few more Babylonians including the one that discards artifacts.  Artifacts are one of your biggest problems so I would add the Babylonian enhancement that discards arts or Doms.  Go into Captivity and Large Tree would be nice.  Fallen Angel, Gathering of Demons, Gates of Hell, and King of Tyrus could also be good.  If you get the new Nebby then I would add Archers of Kedar, Gomer, and 7WS.

Crimson has many good options, you just have to pick which you use.

Our teams deck( stefferweffer, and I )  is really different. Ours is a fifty card deck, and our defense is banding.

For 3-Liner's deck I would say use the older captain of the host from the warriors because it usually seems to work better than the "updated" one.
