Post by: emonier on August 22, 2016, 03:50:59 PM
Does anyone have an Elijah Deck (all cards listed)? I am trying to put one together with Elijah and Elisha. Any suggestions? thanks :D

Unfortunately, neither Elijah nor Elisha are seen in many decks. They are purple brigade, but the Heroes that benefit most from being in that brigade are royal Heroes or Disicples, of which those two prophets are neither. Elijah has a somewhat decent ability, but without support from a lot of cards in his brigade that he can use effectively, there are usually better options. As for Elisha, no-ability Heroes are rarely useful, unless they are Judges, which have some cards that work best when the Hero has no special ability.

Hopefully someday both prophets will get reprints that will make them useful. As some of the most well-known prophets in the O.T., they definitely deserve it. Until then, however, it is not likely to find many great uses for them.

If you do want to try one out just for fun. (not very competitive, most likely) I'd suggest the following cards be included:
Transfiguration
Moses (CoW)
Lydia (H deck)
Elijahs Mantle
Struck with Blindness
Faithful Servant (Promo)

All of those cards will help, as they either benefit, or gain a benefit from Elijah/Elisha (or from a purple/white deck, which you would definitely want, so as to use Transfiguration). After that, you can fill in the rest with your preferred defense (I would suggest not using Gray/Syrians, as some of their best cards don't work well with Elisha around), support cards, and other good white or purple cards that don't require being used by the royalty/disciples, or any of the themes from white.

That isn't a deck that people typically make, but if you had Elijah, elisha, isaiah, seraph with a live coal, and hezekiah, that should give you a good start. you will definitely want to make a prophets/kings deck. although, i would just go with green prophets and purple kings, no purple prophets. it gets messy.

Oh no! That's even more messy! The parameters for what defines a "prophesy" are so lose, it really shouldn't even be a card! Please don't do that, you tournament judges will kill you!
