Can we get links to those card images on here? Thanks for doing this Watchman!
You missed Flaming Sword (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Flaming-Sword.jpg), hidden in the list of cards Adam can pull out.
When was that one released? On the Land of Redemption article, there's a link to it hidden in the list of "already existing" (... :o ...) enhancements Adam can topdeck.
Ah. I missed that. I was thinking it was the old card. I didn’t even click the link. Thanks!

I really like the blame shifting card because of bringing back "Redirect" ability after all those years.Redirect is a terrible ability. It's super confusing and is not at all consistent. There is a reason why the ability hasn't been used since G/H.
It's easy to carry out once you understand how it functions but there is still a bit of interpretation that has to be had, because it would be easy to think that redirecting "discard a hero" would mean that you could discard an evil character, because you would be redirecting their enhancement directly back on your opponent's character. While it's clear that targets are being changed, it's not necessarily clear from reading the ability how they are being changed. That's how I always used to get confused as a youngster. It was tricky for me to understand how the targets changed ect.
How to Play
● A redirect effect changes which player carries out an ability or which character benefits from the strength
and/or toughness on a card.
● Targets must be in battle, regardless of the type of redirect.
● Redirect effects that redirect an ability target the ability that is to be redirected. The target must be pending by
being interrupted.
● Redirecting an ability allows the player using the redirect effect to change which cards are targeted by the
redirected ability, but does not change the wording on the card. The new targets of the redirected ability may be
the same as or different than the ones that were originally targeted.
● Redirecting an ability does not change which player played the card it is on or the character that used it, but
does change which player carries out the effect.
● Redirect effects that redirect an ability are instant.
● Redirect effects that redirect strength and/or toughness target the card that the strength and/or toughness are on.
The strength and/or toughness of a card can be redirected without interrupting an ability on the card.
● Redirecting strength and/or toughness reduces the strength and/or toughness of the target by the amount
redirected and increases the strength and/or toughness of the redirecting card by the same amount.
● Redirect effects that redirect strength and/or toughness are ongoing.
● Ongoing redirect effects last until the end of the phase in which they are activated.
It's actually one of the easiest abilities to understand...if you interrupt and redirect a card, you can just physically pick up the card and play it back on the table on your side of the battle. If it says "discard a Hero" you discard a Hero. If it says "Discard all Evil Characters" you discard all Evil Characters.
I agree with CS's point about the confusing wording used on the original redirects (Treachery of Jezebel and Counsel of Abigail from Womens). Because those stated "redirected to the Hero/EC of your choice" it made it seem like you could redirect an ability that said "Discard a Hero" and redirect that to "discard an EC". That might have actually been the original intent (I wasn't on the playtest team that long ago), but we have since defined redirect to simply mean the redirecting player gets to carry out the ability instead of the player who actually played the card. In some cases, like KV's example with Overwhelming Presence, redirecting doesn't actually help because it doesn't change the ability.
It's underused because 2 of the old redirect cards are confusing - Counsel of Abigail (Wo) and Treachery of Jezebel (Wo) and the third is in a brigade chocked full of interrupts and negates (black) so player pass it over because they aren't familiar with redirect.
Since A New Beginning causes SI, can we change the errata to say: "During a rescue attempt, banish this card to shuffle all cards in play, hands, and set-aside areas. If no Heroes are in battle, end the battle, each player must draw 8, and end current turn. If you do, you may begin a new turn."?
This way I can redirect my opponents ANB and take the turn. :P
Since ANB ends the battle, you cannot play an enhancement to interrupt it. Also, the ability would need to happen before you have any chance to interrupt. This is the same as if someone was blocking and plays Stormy Seas “Discard a random card from each opponent’s hand (or two if used by a Roman) [...]”. The discard happens first - even if you had the redirect card in your hand, if they discard it then you can’t play it to redirect. You have to carry out the ability as though it would 100% happen before any other cards are played. In the case of ANB, it brings you to a new phase, even a new turn, so would not be interruptable or negatable from that standpoint either.
Once my last EC in battle is being targeted for shuffle (which is triggered by the wording “all cards in play,” which is the first ability in ANB’s SA that affects me, the opponent), I have SI to play an enh to negate/interrupt the removal from battle before anything else gets resolved.
Once my last EC in battle is being targeted for shuffle (which is triggered by the wording “all cards in play,” which is the first ability in ANB’s SA that affects me, the opponent), I have SI to play an enh to negate/interrupt the removal from battle before anything else gets resolved.
Firstly, as long as no Heroes remain in battle after the shuffle, A New Beginning ends the battle as per its errata. Under this consideration, the only time you would have a chance to interrupt it is if any Heroes remained in battle; in any other scenario, you don't have the opportunity to interrupt ANB because the battle is already over. The opportunity window, or battle step, in which special initiative usually occurs has been skipped.
Even were this not the case, ANB banishes itself to activate its special ability- again, as per its errata. Since it is no longer in play, you cannot interrupt it or negate it after it has been played, as targets for interrupts and negates have to be in play by default
On another note, I take great offense to Pharaoh's Daughter being an Evil Character, even if she's also a Hero. The only thing she ever did in Scripture was rescue a Hebrew child sentenced to death and raise him as her own son. Making her an Evil Character just because she was also an Egyptian would make as much sense as making Rahab an Evil Character just because she was a Canaanite.

+1 If we based every character on one or two actions, then arguments could be made for the majority of characters (particularly OT) to be DA, which we believe is not what's best for the game.
As the designers of the cards, we have to make decisions and we know that not everyone will agree with every decision. In fact, we don't always agree as a team on certain cards--as you might imagine, this set has been particularly challenging in that regard. We appreciate feedback that is expressed respectfully (even if that feedback is negative in some way), and we do take community feedback into account (otherwise we wouldn't preview cards like we do), but imagine if the process for every card was as complicated as the Rapha community card...there would be a new set ready every five years or so... ::)
"Take a Human Hero to your territory."
She does not specify from where.
The new use of Take- gaining control of a card not in your control- means we must specify a location every time we use Take.
As it stands, "Take a Human Hero to your territory" sounds like you could Take it from your opponent's territory or one of your piles.
Nimrod?
A lot of changes. Played a fruitless game against a Hero called Children of Light? with a zillion placed cards on it. Fun times, lol.
So you could only take or banish an enhancement used by a surviving character?Used by an opponent's surviving character, actually. This is due to the definition of the word "Take" which defaults to cards you don't control. There's a different thread that's still active that clarifies this. I believe it's "The Actual Next Best Thing."

As Josh kindly pointed out elsewhere Rubble and Dust was misnumbered. It’s actually 135. The two Lost Souls that follow it we’re also misnumbered and should be 136 & 137. The Bathsheba image should have been updated since her original spoiler too.Bathsheba isn't in the list anymore. At least I couldn't find it.

The image was updated since it was originally spoiled. Here's the link until Watchman adds it to the original post. Bathsheba (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Bathsheba.png)
Let's say I would use Naamans Slave Girl (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Naamans-Slave-Girl.png) to convert a giant (let's say Ahiman (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Ahiman-son-of-Talmai.png) to a hero and would do a RA with it. How would the SA be modified? Ahiman wouldn't be able to band to Sheshai (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Sheshai-son-of-Anak.png) or Talmai (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Talmai-son-of-Anak.png) would he?

We've been hiding little hints about cards all over the forum for months. Some might be obvious now that you've seen so many cards. Other are very subtle. It reminds me of a Bible story where a Hero hid something from his family. If you can guess the story I'll show you a card that delectable with R&D.

I guess that's neat but artifacts are basically the most competitive card type in game idk if I can see current Silver Cup ever being run when much better artifacts have been driven out of the meta already.

Do you think it's because it's one of the few cards with a true "cost" in that you can only have one? Or because we don't have sufficient counters to artifacts?
Nailed it!You named the right Hero but not the thing he hid that this card represents.
He hid his silver cup in Benjamin's bag.
Could I use Hiding Joseph's Cup to negate Goliath if I put it on him in territory since it's CBN?You can place it on Goliath if you play it as good but since Goliath is CBN his ability would still work.
The first is that you seem to only view things from an ultra competitive perspective.
True story: JSC was effectively used in a T2 deck that won the T2 Only many years ago. 8)
The second is that you’ve discounted the advantage of controlling the games tempo. It’s not difficult to build a deck that can afford to spend the artifact spot for a couple turns to ensure an opponent isn’t able to use theirs. Now that JSC can be retrieved from the reserve (not to mention recurred to be used again) its all the more playable. And it accomplished something 3W, Censor and Image do not - it ties up the opponents Artifact for 2 turns instead of 1.
My guess is that it Joseph’s Silver Cup will still be an underrated card that most players don’t take advantage of. But there will be a few clever people who put it to good use.
Don't forget that you place hiding joes cup on a character, making it targetable with R&D, and many decks will be able to play this on either a hero or ec, giving you flexibility. that being said I still probably wouldn't play the card
Interesting use of negative numbers to print new genesis blue cards without making Benjamin better.
Cards 92 & 93 have been previewed (Jephthah's Daughter and Lamenting in the Mountains), but I can't find the posts with them...anyone remember?
If I have counted correctly only 10 of each (FoM & LR) are left to be spoiled!

Looks like less than that now...
Leviathan hasn't been spoiled yet has it?
When can we expect to learn about the release date?
interesting... only 4 cards left...
I predict number #99 is the ultra rare card...and I believe I know what the ultra rare card is... :)

It's not card 99, but it is in fact a patriarch reprint
I do seem to recall a certain title with a link to "nothing to see here" in the flood deck...IIRC that is the final UR which will be revealed on LoR tomorrow.
interesting... only 4 cards left...#99 is not an UR. For most of the testing it was titled "Hewn to Pieces" and started out with an ability that required a rip (like Haman's Plot) for an effect similar to the GE side seen below plus it got CBN. It was slated to be a "double common" to make sure it was readily available. But we've heard from enough people that don't like rip cards so we decided that we will not introduce another to the game now. With the change in the special ability the old name didn't really make sense. Similar to Divide and Unify in PC, the title that was chosen made more sense if the order of the icons is reversed.

This is also probably a good time to announce that we've decided to split the icons for all DAE as seen in the spoiler above. No more 2 icons smashed together!

Will this apply to other already revealed cards as well, or only certain ones with different numbers on each side? Will cards like Lost Anointing and Forbidden Fruit have two boxes?
Hey Gabe could we have the GE on the left and the EE on the right side - please ^^'?

And how ability texts will be dealt with?
In RoJ with DAEs the bible icon + ability text always came first and the skull ones came second. Will this now also be "mixed"?

Love the art!
Edit: This triggers even when opponent's Job characters block doesn't it? Is this intended?
As a note--I don't think you intended it this way, but it can be seen as rude to simply bring something up and say "this is wrong, someone fix it."Not intended. Thx it just seemed to be discrepant. Is that the right word?
What a fun looking set! Looks like this set will benefit a lot of brigades and themes! :-) Can't wait for the pre order to ship! ;D

From a design standpoint I enjoy cards that reflect what happend in the bible the most! That’s why I like Raining Fire, Harbringers, Unified Language, Tree of Knowledge and Hailstones. I like how Pillar of Salt has 3/-1 since 3 „good“ characters are left but one is lost (-1). Dunno if that was intentional?

There will be an article coming out on LoR as soon as the images are finalized showing both the previously previewed images compared to the finalized images.

Will this have final wording on all cards from FoM? Thanks
We may be able to send cards to the printer these week. That means we are at least five weeks out from being able to fill orders.
More patriarchs and king extras.... :o. Not that we dont have enough of those. ;D
The list is not completely updated in terms of having all the rare cards marked as some of the cards were previewed before rarities were finalized. I will try to do that sometime today. This was meant by my question.
Thank you very much!

Quick question. I scanned the whole thread to see if it's been answered, but I couldn't find anything. It means discard abilities on evil cards are regardless of protection.
Lamech, the Avenged
"Discard abilities on evil cards are regardless of protect abilities. May band to an antediluvian female. Cannot be negated."
http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Lamech.png (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Lamech.png)
I do not understand the ability. Thanks!
That's a question for our wordsmiths, but I believe we actually want "regardless of protect abilities" to be the standard now so it is clearer (since "protection" is not a defined keyword).Correct. It ties the phrase more clearly to the keyword, and it gives us consistency in how we refer to different types of abilities. We don't say "negate protection", but "negate protect abilities".
Speaking of regardless of protect abilities... Can R&D hit the ark now based off the LoR article?

Got a question:
Overtaken SA as curse: your evil humans "Cannot be negated"
Would Coliseum toss overtaken if it was played as evil enhancement during battle??
Question concerning Pursued and Destroyed (EE: Underdeck a card with "negated" in the special ability. / Curse: If a Hero with "negated" in the special ability enters battle, your evil humans cannot be negated.)
Shouldn't it say "in the modifier", since "cannot be negated" is a modifier and not a SA? Am I missing something?

The Fall of ManMakes sense to me
Convert a male and a female hero to brown this turn
Forbidden Fruit
Convert all Heroes in battle to pale green this turn
Thinking these abilities should say " Convert a male and a female human hero to brown this turn"
and Convert all human Heroes in battle to pale green this turn.
Cards like leading others astray (crimson) say "convert a human hero" along with some other cards.
I do know that the R.E.G says non-humans can not be targeted for convert abilities unless it says it can , but it would be nice if the those abilities put the word"human" in it so players do not have to remember that R.E.G rule as much.
Anyone think these changes are necessary??
Thoughts??
The first "or" on R&D allows us to shorten the set of non-contents. If you remove it, the last 3 entries probably need to be "a card [placed on/equipped to/activated on] it".

If the card is printed with "human", it can only ever target humans, even if that default for convert gets changed or removed. I think it's more probable that future converts are worded like Falling Away (CoW), with a convert for humans and something else (underdeck or withdraw, probably) for non-humans, but there's a slim chance the default could change.
Why is Forbidden Fruit also considered a good enhancement?
Why is Forbidden Fruit also considered a good enhancement?
Because it’s the fruit of knowledge of good and evil?
Redirect isn't negate and sometimes will do things you don't want it to, which is when you have to argue about it lol. It's a higher risk/reward option than a negate. It is also completely shut down by Ram's Horn, which adds to the risk.
