How to tell Deck A and Deck B from Original set

Hello All! I’m totally new to the forum, but I’ve been playing Redemption since around the late 90s. Now that I’m a bit older I’m getting back into it, but from a collector perspective rather that a player.

I’ve seen on various listings and sites, such as yourturngames.biz, that Deck A and Deck B cards tend to be listed separately than the original set cards. However, as printed set identifiers didn’t start until the Women set, is there any way to tell whether, for example a copy of Ahab came from Deck A/B or an original expansion pack?
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you, and give you peace.

Welcome back to Redemption!  The vast majority of the cards from Unlimited and A/B decks are identical.  There are a few that are in the starters that are not in the booster packs, such as the dominants.  Other than using resources like Your Turn Games or Land of Redemption, there is no way to tell on the cards themselves which are from Unlimited and which are from the A/B decks.

if your trying to find out weather that particular card was originally pulled out of a deck or booster, theres a variety of minor card differences mostly due to differences in print runs of those same cards. these differences could be a different alignment or scale of the artwork, some have an extra space or comma in the text. some of these are purposeful variant cards, and some of the changes I believe are accidental (I believe I heard somewhere that they had to redesign a printsheet inbetween runs cause they lost the original or something)
