Is it just me or is this whole Throne offense constantly being overplayed?  It’s been this way since at least CoW and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, especially with these new cards coming out.

Nah, it's just you. No one's ever suggested banning Sam/AUtO/Throne or using set rotation to get rid of them either.

I appreciate the sarcasm but that’s just my point. There are so many complaints about this offense yet more cards are being made that just help it out even the more.

We haven't even previewed the new Throne of David yet

"What's that stack of cards you just pushed into battle?"

"Oh, that's Isaiah. He's a Purple King/Priest/Prophet/Musician that's negating Souls, Sites, and ECs, protecting characters not in battle from non-banding evil abilities, and protects himself CBN. Also, I get to take an OT purple card from Reserve and his enhancements are CBI because of this artifact. And if by some miracle you run Rubble and Dust do kill him, I can discard a teal card from hand instead with Solomon's Temple."

seemsgood
Maybe I missed something - but how do you get Isaiah to purple brigade too?

Love or gold Shield lets you convert him to any good brigade

Help me understand what you’ve seen that makes past Throne variants better? I’m not saying it’s not there but I don’t see it.

Also, keep in mind that we don’t want the throne offense to go away, but we don’t want to encourage the super fast AUTO>Sam variant.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

I don't think these new cards actually make the current competitive versions of throne better though. I'm expecting to see a new Throne in this set that encourages a straight royalty deck and that's what the new cards are for.

Royal Priesthood: the alternative border artwork, where did you find it?

Thanks.  Also, loving the new teal cards!

It's a priest with the Ark, I'm 95% certain it's on one of the Priests.

I think I understand what you’re asking. I have in mind the Sam/DtS related combos with Ahimelek and the like, or any other Throne variant that’s been played in past Throne decks (such as RDT’s winning deck this past Nats, all of the Throne decks played this year at various tournaments, and ones that came close to winning Nats in 2016).

I understand that Throne decks don’t need to go away altogether. What I mean is I’d like to see other themes come to the forefront while Throne moves to the back. The Throne deck, IMO, is getting old. I like seeing creative decks/themes instead of just the same ole Throne offense.

This is a cool card. I especially like the GE side. The artifact side has some great potential to do cool things with that evil card in discard pile, such as GWT, Mist, etc. 👍

With all of the Babel sales I and TLG experienced, and all of the talk about and demand for it I didn’t play one person at Nats who was using it (myself included). Of course there were 30 players in T1 2P so I’m sure there were some I didn’t play who used it.

You played me twice and I was running it. Sometimes certain cards just feel like hiding in the deck all game

Spoiler (hover to show)

The main issue I've had with ways to have multiple artifacts up at a time was how slow it is to set up since even if you have room, you can still only activate one at a time. Even if you have a hand full of covenants this thing takes 3 turns to really be worth it. If it activated the covenant you search for on itself immediately, even at the cost of one of the other abilities, I'd be a lot more excited about it.

Why can't it? You activate it and search, and you can use the Holds identifier at any point in your prep phase to activate up to 2 Covenants, including potentially the one you searched for

My understanding was having a place to activate multiple artifacts didn't inherently let you activate more than one each prep phase. If you can activate any number of artifacts as long as you have an empty spot to put them then I am extremely excited for this card!

Wasn't aware of this line, am now definitely hyped for this card!

If it wasn't for the increasingly useful Rubble and Dust I'm pretty sure this card would be even more amazing than I think it is
