Title: Is there any way to watch a game on redemption online?
Post by: jeidson on May 10, 2012, 04:55:19 PM
I haven't had any luck yet finding a T1 game with my H or G decks yet. I was wondering if I could watch a game being played and maybe learn something?

that would be a pretty cool feature but you'd have to make an option more not allowing others to see in case you are testing a combo w/ a friend or testing the new set...

Sadly, there is not. I know you posted in the shoutbox the other day, do you know how to play, but haven't really done much yet, or are you looking for somebody to teach you?

Also, welcome to the boards!  :)

What times do you generally look for games?

I am very new to the game. I just purchased the G and H starter decks about a week ago and the E and F starter decks today. I know of no one who plays in the Richmond VA and surrounding areas. I was hoping to learn enough by playing online that I could start a Redemption group here as an alternative to other darker games that are being played. I only have decks G and H loaded into RTS. I don't mind loading E and F also.

I have the most available in the evenings especially on Fridays. If anyone can tell me when the best time to catch a game is I will try and give a shout at that time instead.

Thanks you all for having a welcoming Spirit.

Welcome.  Yeah, I saw you on but I just wasn't able to play at that time.  Because of the relatively smaller group of players online, there is not always someone available.  When I want to play a game, I hop on and check here and the RC lobby to see if anyones available.  I'd say about 50% of the time, I'm able to play a game, so just keep trying and you'll connect with someone.

Hopefully we'll get to play sometime and I hope you have great success in your future playgroup.  A lot of great things have happened in people's lives because of Redemption and Cactus but I've always thought this game has more mininstry potential then has been utilized.

P.S.  It's good to start learning the game with just the starter decks but as you progress you can build an online deck with any of the cards, not just the ones you own.  It's a great way to learn what you like before having to buy the whole collection.  Also people can give you tips on different decks to try out to expand your knowledge of the game.

Yes this is possible. It's called teamviewer (http://www.teamviewer.com/en/products/meeting.aspx (http://www.teamviewer.com/en/products/meeting.aspx)). it's free as long as you don't use it for commercial reasons.

Sorry soul seeker. I got back from a prayer watch too late to catch you for a game tonight.

LackeyCCG allows folks to view games in progress.  See information here (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/rtsonline-play/lackeyccg-plugin-beta/) for details on installing the Redemption plugin on Lackey.

Sorry for the necro-post, but I figured if this was going to be most recent post on the sub-board, it may as well have accurate information.
