Did they ever kick off, or is redemption the only ccg/tcg that people actually play? I saw them on the cactus website and they looked kind of cool.

I have both and they each have their respective attributes that make them fun.  They aren't as popular as Redemption, obviously, but are great games to pull out every once in a while for family or church game nights.

I actually have about 40 unopened Timestream booster packs if you decide to get that game and would like expansion cards.

Hi, I have a question about Timestream actually. I picked up a used copy of it and am trying to understand it. Can you clarify something for me? On some cards the ability is that you can Link power cells to increase the energy - is this Linking done as part of the cost of putting the card in play, like using extra power cells? Do you get those power cells back next turn or do they stay with that Advance card? And, is that energy boost permanent while the card is in play?

They have an extended rulebook on the Cactus website if that helps.

That's a lot of boosters! You didn't say this to me originally, but I just picked up a copy of Timestream and am going to try it out. I'd be interested in some booster packs.

Sure thing! This is the one I found: Timestream Supplementals
http://www.geocities.ws/kapmahn/timestream.htm

It has full card lists and other rule clarifications. I still have questions on how a couple things are meant to work, but I think just giving it a shot and playing it will clear it up. If you just picked up this game, too, we can try to bounce questions off each other as we go. Looks like a fun game :)

Definitely.  I am hoping to play it this weekend.  I just picked it up from eBay.  I have the silver tin but I guess there is a blue tin, also.  Not 100% sure of the difference.

Oh. I guess I have the silver tin, too. Silver tin with a sticker on the top as opposed to fully colored tin shown in some pictures. Looks like the other one had color instructions, mine is just black and white. I'm guessing they're the same contents otherwise and one is just older. Anyways, it's good to know I'm not alone in being excited about an old obscure game :)

Cool. STAMP, I sent a PM.

My wife and I played twice this weekend but didn't finish a game. I think we're going to play draw 2 each turn and allow playing 2 power cells each turn to speed things up. And since we didn't know exactly how it was supposed to work, Advance/Obstacle cards that have an ability of "you may link power cells to increase E/R" we are playing that when you play that card, you can link extra power cells to it and they stay on that card (so you know the upgraded E/R) until it's discarded, then the power cells are returned to you for use.

They have that variant for a faster game where you start with 1 power cell of each type out already.

Yup, we're playing draw 2 and allowed to play 2 power cells each turn on top of that.
