Axis & Allies is my all time favorite game. I've been playing it since the first year of release when I was only 5 years old. It's hard to find the time and people to play with nowadays. Luckily, there is now a FREE online version. Go to...
www.gametableonline.com (http://www.gametableonline.com)
They had Axis & Allies, Battle Cry (brand new!), Robo Rally, Vegas Showdown and a TON of awesome games that you can play online. Enjoy! :)

I'll have to check out the online versions, but just FYI, when I had a Redemption Club in my school, I actually started it as a Strategic Games Club. There were a few games of Chess and LotR Risk, but eventually the kids separated into two groups: those that played Redemption and those that played Axis & Allies. A&A was brought by another teacher who was a big fan, so he subsequently started an A&A Club that met on a different day than my Redemption Club so that we would not "steal" players from each other. The general Strategic Games Club only met sporadically after that.
As a soapbox statement to parents, kids love games even if they are not video games. Test your favorite games of old on your kids and you may be surprised. My son loves playing games from my "game chest," including Dark Tower, Dark World, Grand Imperialism, Othello, Chess, Stratego, Battleship, and Monopoly.
