Hey guys, I am getting into this nice card game called "Anachronism" and you can find out about it here. http://www.trikinggames.com/
It is about history and has really cool pics.
Daniel, the strong angel

odd I thought this game died....
-
That 's what I thought also. Both of the game shops in my area gave me that information. There may be some movement by the fans to the otherwise. See some of the links below.
It is a very good game.
Here are some links for you.

It is dead. No new sets are being developed for it. But I still have several characters if someone wants to play.
-
It's fun but I lost all my cards :(
-
Anachronism isnt dead. The fans have picked up production for it. Trikinggames is dead.
-
The lead developer has proceeded with production of sets that were already through the initial development process when Triking pulled the plug. As for the notion that "teh fanz" are going to produce and publish a release of remotely comparable quality to what was being produced with The History Channel's funding, I'll believe it when I see it.

It is dead. No new sets are being developed for it. But I still have several characters if someone wants to play.
Are you interested in playing? I have the complete Achilles set, the complete Spartacus set, an incomplete Genghis Khan set (missing the inspiration), and an incomplete Ramses II set (also missing the inspiration).
-
I've got William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Joan of Arc, King Arthur, and a few other nifty guys. It was an expensive hobby so I only bought a few of the really famous ones.
-
I have over half the cards, including such Biblical characters as:
Cyrus
Samson
Joshua
Barak
David
I also have the American frontiersmen. I also have the playmat that looks/feels like a very large mousepad.
I think I am missing about 1/3 of the cards, but I have all the ones I really wanted. I do have some extra unopened starters and packs, though.
-
With all these Redemption players holding Anachronism cards, maybe Cactus should approach The History Channel to publish Set 10 when "Teh Fanz (tm)" get done developing it. :p
-
Does anyone have an Ajax warrior pack?
-
My store carried this game. I have TONS of promo cards, and booster sets left over from my store. Unfortunately, I never ordered the last set which had Israelites. :(
-
I think I just met my new best friend.
-
Can anybody tell me how the Israelites stack up strength wise? Do they have any cool cards? I've never even seen the Israelites.
Anachronism, as a game, was broken from the initial release. We held lots of tournaments at my store. The naked ninja decks went on a LONG run of being undefeated. They weren't unbeatable decks, but you had to build specifically against them, and in a game with a deck of only 4 cards, it really cut down on the variety of deck archetypes.
-
Since im a fan of board game emulaters :P, does any one know if this game is emulated some where ???
-
Naked Ninjas, eh? That doesn't sound very wise; naked people don't really blend into the night very well.
-
I know that ANACHRONISM is dead, but if you still want to play and want cards.
Here is a resource for you. http://www.heardworld.com/dystemporalia/
Go down the left side to the
Oracles tab
It lists all the sets, if you click on the sets, it will bring up a PDF file of each set, go ahead, print and play.
-
It isn't completely dead. The fans have picked up production on them. The company is dead.
Oh ya, dystemporalia is awesome.
