I am getting back into the game after a long long time. like 15 years long time.
When I was playing I really enjoyed type 2. Is type 2 still supported?
I see that there is now a type 2 multi-player format that seems pretty interesting... what are the opinions of this style of play?
thanks.

While generally overshadowed by T1 in terms of participation, T2 is definitely still supported. We just had the annual "T2 Only" tournament here in Minnesota and we had players from all over the country (and Canada!) that came to participate.
Personally I love T2 MP, but it is definitely a test of endurance (especially if you're playing multiple rounds in a tournament) and not for the faint of heart... 8)

I remember my buddies and I had a house rule of 200 card deck minimum... games were long but we got to see some fun stuff combo-wise. I remember everyone ran full sets of confusion just so they would get to look through each others huge decks! lol

If you want to see some of the decks that have placed at Nationals in T2 2P and T2 MP the past few years, check out this page:

that sounds really painful lol, especially in multi. How large were your games? 4 player? they must have taken hours! :o

We never actually played in groups... it was all 1 on 1... looking forward to trying multi player.
I am sure this has been asked a billion times....
I see that the lost souls card is being described as 2 line and 3 line.... do these count as 2 different cards now?

They count as the same card, but the 3 liner is better for multiplayer. it doesn't really matter for 2 player

Cool, I was looking through all my old stuff and I have like 9 of each... so I am set either way.
So I will be building a type 2 mono and type 2 multi.... wish me luck ! lol

Do you have lackey? i would love to play a t2 game and help you with a deck if you would like. i'm trying out a deck too, so it needs a bit of play testing. There are always people on there who would play a game with you.

Newb Reply.... What is lackey?
-
Lackey is an application that you download to your computer. you can then download many different card and board games to it, make a deck, and then play on a server with other people who play that same game. pretty much every evening/night, you can find people playing redemption on lackey.
you can use these download links to get lackey running redemption. it's pretty simple on a mac computer/ ipad, but it is a bit more tricky on a PC.

I think Redemption Table Simulator (RTS) was released in 2003, so I'm not sure if you ever played online with that, but this is fairly similar, and pretty much better in most ways.

Is this the big spoiler of the day that Gabe hinted at? RTS is being reborn?!
