Is anybody else watching this bowl game? Even if Alabama comes back in the second half, that's an awful lot of points to give up...  :o

The first time 'Bama has given up thirty in a half in about a decade to be exact. I can promise you one thing, if the Sooners keep scoring and win this Bob Stoops is going to be absolutely insufferable. Before the season he questioned the SEC defense narrative, now he's tearing Alabama apart.

Bowl games always bring out the conference chatter. Locals here are still ecstatic about UCF's big win over Baylor.  ;)

To be honest, this isn't surprising to me.  Most of the players on this team were looking for a National Championship, and nothing less.  To play in anything else is a disappointment, and some of them don't know anything other than The Big One.  Given the disappointment, especially the deflating nature of that one loss (which also knocked them out of the SEC championship) can't be discounted.

Also, they were knocked out of contention for the SEC championship due to that one loss, so this team hasn't actually played in awhile.

So, all of that added to a 'Bama team that has looked a bit vulnerable of late, and I can't say I'm shocked to see them down big.

This is a Nick Saban coached team, they are not losing this because of disappointment or lack of effort or any of that. They're losing because their defense is awful and Oklahoma is shredding them.

While a coach is a big part of the game, these are still college students who I think are more affected than we'd like to think.  Good touchdown there to bring it to one score; however, regardless of the reason for the performance, those linemen need to block for AJ before he becomes a permanent part of the field.

EDIT: And what I said about blocking...7th sack of the night turns into a defensive TD to end it.  Incredible.

the way that game ended with the strip/sack TD and then the kicker accidentally nailing the up man allowing OU to recover. that just might be my favorite thing.
