Title: The Strong Angel / Beast
Post by: Watchman on December 19, 2018, 12:51:10 PM
If I have Beast from the Sea (RoJ) in territory (he’s territory class) and I rescue with TSA (Ki), if TSA survives (or loses) the battle is Beast’s ability still negated until he enters battle or does TSA’s negate only last until end of battle, thus Beast’s ability reactivates?

If my opponent plays Harvest Time and plays a NT soul from my deck, can I then use Beast’s ability to topdeck that soul, or does an NT soul have to already be in territory when he plays HT? I figure the former since all abilities have to activate/resolve first (HT), then Beast’s ability activates (after already triggering but waits for HT to resolve first) and searches for a viable target after HT is resolved.

I'm fairly certain that TSA only lasts through the phase, allowing Beast's ability to reactivate after battle.

My understanding is that triggered abilities like Beast activate after the triggering ability completes. Since Harvest Time puts the soul in play as part of its ability, by the time HT completes and Beast triggers its ability the soul is a valid target.

+1 on both answers.

Then under what circumstances does a TC character or enh remain negated until that card enters battle (or in the case of the enh is sent back to hand, deck or discard)?

In general, ongoing abilities can reactivate once the negate ends, while instant abilities can't. The important part of most TC abilities is ongoing, so I'm not sure in what instances one would remain negated.

So if I had ML in territory, then he gets negated by either 3W or CoW Moses, if 3W or Moses leaves play (or if the target to 3W changes), would ML’s ability reactivate? I thought that since 3W and Moses are interrupting and preventing his ability it won’t reactivate unless ML enters battle or goes to hand then back to territory.

ML is an ongoing ability that is active whenever it is in territory so it would start working again as soon as it stops being negated. What you might be thinking of is that this still doesn't count as a reactivation of it's ability so if something like Joy was placed on it it would still need to enter battle to become CBN.
