It’s not in the REG, and I couldn’t find it on the forum concerning the description of the above terms. I know what they do but I forgot if lost souls and face down artifacts count towards these or not. Can someone please direct me to where the description of these terms is posted?

It doesn't include Lost Souls. It should include face down cards.
I don't know where the original description is.

Sorry to bring this old topic up again. But since I could not find anything within REG nor within board search I want to ask whether board and play advantage are different like board advantage counting also cards in set aside (and maybe even Lost Souls?) while play advantage will just count cards which are in play (excluding Lost Souls)?
So is there any difference between both and if so which one?

There's an "Advantage" entry in the glossary of REG 6.0.0.
Advantage does not count LS unless it specifies it counts LS (there's an EC card that would have used it if it was a thing).
"Play advantage" only cards in in play. "Board advantage" counts cards in play, set-aside, and LoR (which is basically Guardian, since it doesn't count Redeemed Souls either).

Thank you! I already checked that REG 6.0.0 entry but since it "only" goes into detail in terms of "board advantage" I was unsure whether play advantage also counts cards in set aside area or not.

"Play" advantage is covered as a "specified location", but I'll see if we can make that clearer in the next update.
I expect "board advantage" to be the more common of the 2, but we used "play advantage" on one of the Persians because he set aside cards, meaning his ability wouldn't impact "board advantage".
