Title: Foretelling Angel has a search ability?
Post by: Sean on April 25, 2019, 05:34:23 PM
Foretelling Angel
"...if it is a Daniel card, you may take it..."

Is this a search ability?  And would it be stopped by Hezekiah's Signet Ring?  Or trigger something like Great White Throne?

It is not a search ability and would not be stopped by anything that stops searches.

So it is a take ability then?  I thought take was replacing search, is that incorrect?

Take is being used instead of search but that doesn't mean all takes are searches. If you take from a known location like the board or the top card of a pile, that's not a search. If you have to look through a pile to take a specific card, then the take includes a search.

So reveal + take does not count as search, right?

Correct.

What about "Look at opponent's hand and take an enhancement"?
